i didn't like all ur ideas, i think the GM should get thief dmg little lower, get 2 h weapen dmg little higher, and cap the shilds too 100, so only worrears, can u use the above 100 shilds

There would probably be few thieves left on the server if you lower their damage. Not the way to solve this.

Make Archer's faster than Thiefs then, or in general give shields a negative speed bonus which slows you down unless you have x STR.

I actually like Xendro's idea. That wouldn't hurt warriors, but would make wizards and priests think twice before wearing a shield. But I think thieves are the class that are supposed to be wearing shields and should not be punished for it. So maybe do it so u have to have either dex or str. I don't like the idea of taking shields away from a class or restrict lvl 100 shields. Maybe weight system was designed for this. Who knows.
Also I don't think archers should get ALOT more damage. As I have seen, archers have been a pretty viable class at dual5. But something should be done. As they are supposed to be main damage dealers, yeah, give them some extra damage. Just not too much so they couldn't 1 ex everyone. I'd like archers to have something unique. I've been thinking that most classes have a class they are kinda weak against and some class they are strong again. Except for priests. They don't really have a class that could easily counter them. Also this would make archers more wanted in pvp groups too.
The idea would be to change the shitty archer skill called "fleet missile" wasit? Give it an effect to remove enemy protection spell(except the counter spell for priests and dispel for wizards maybe) or skill(ice armor) and unable to be protected for let's say 5 sec?. I know, sounds quite overpowered? How about if you give it something like 30% or 50% chance to work, cost like 50 cp and maybe have a small cooldown? I see this as a counter to those useless priests too who are always using complete sanctuary and just ressing ppl. And when they get stunned but always get their SS on cause they have it precast? That would make archers unique and actually really feared by mages and priests in pvp. Archers were tbh really weak against mage spells, so they would have a better chance.

first of all as i replayed severl times, give any more panlty to a wiz with a shild and he will not worth anymore.
secend thief are hugly overpowerd, thay shouldn't have so much dmg. and little (10 ac if im not mistaken) less on the diffence will just make them "back to normal class".
and afcors somthing must be done agenst priset, ther is no class that can kill it easly, and as wiz u can't kill it at all.

because of the combat skills are released in v1.0,the shooting rate of arrows was decreased
And because of the low rate of shooting arrows, the archers won't learn any spell any more
What if we increase the rate so that archers can use flame arrow or ice arrow more effectively
At the past, archers can do a 8k-10k dmg with one ice arrow,so can GMs increase the rate and give a little more dmg
Please imagine, shooting arrows or throwing swords, which one is more powerful?
with the help of bow strings, arrows can give a higher dmg than using your own muscle,right?

No grofire, thieves are only overpowered against archers. Reduce thief damage and he will be a fking tank with just less hp than warrior. Whats the point of a thief who can survive mage fb, can survive some hits from warrior better than an archer, but doesn't have the power to take down another class?
And the point of slowing down mages and priests IS to make them suffer for the choice they made. Shielded mages are in fact overpowered, so are shielded priests. That is why wearing shield should be penalized for them.

@olon, i like the idea of making sacrifices to use shields but they shouldnt be to big on lower lvl shields tho

@grofire, u hv no idea how strong a mage realy is, at higher lvl's the only down side char to mage is priest cuz they can tank spells the easyest and can kill mage quit easy.
