Whether you're a veteran or a newb, it doesn't matter much. What matters most is actually finding people with half a brain. Noobs aren't the future, newbs with half a brain and somehow fall in love with the game with assholes around are the future. And LP has the right attitude. Enjoy the game, and don't give too much shit about being nice. That's how you get burned out. You set your standards too high.

CK's motto used to be "noobs are the future" (back when I gave a shit about helping every noob on the streets). We helped noobs to love the game and be the legends of the future. All legends started somewhere. What makes us old players is that we learned from our mistakes first hand. What's to stop us from passing on our knowledge so that the new players don't need to make the same mistakes? In DR-Int.my (first one), almost everyone was CC or lower with noob rares because most people didn't know how to get d1+ and didn't know the best places to grind. We didn't know about macros. On NR, people were able to get D1 within the first month because they learned from their mistakes.

CK has maybe less than 5 players that started out in the original CK in DR-Int. Me, Elenia, Varrin, Warden, Harlequin (so so sorry if I missed you). Out of those 5, only me, Elenia, and Varrin played actively through NR and previous servers. Everyone else in my guild I met in the new servers. The majority of them I met while they were under CC. Some of the most noticeable people from NR are Bonecracker, JuNyP, and Shahirrim. I met all of them while they were noobs. By the end of NR, they could go 1 on 1 with some of the hackers and legends. I won't take credit for their success but I was able to be there to guide them and let them learn from my mistakes so that they don't repeat them.

3 legends vs 20 noobs might not win a BATTLE but they can certainly win the WAR. CK has almost always been full of noobs. What made us successful in war is that people listened. When I tell them to go defend, they go. When I tell someone to go hit another stone as a diversion to split the enemy defense team, they do it. When I tell them to wait and charge together, they wait. It's not all about brute strength and PvP skills. It's about working as a team and communicating. That's also what Yllse lacks the most.

I think the biggest problem for yllse is that everyone wants to be a hero and be a 1 man army. There's lots of small guilds. Personally, I hate nations with only 1 large guild. Yes, having 1 large guild makes the nation strong in war times, but in a large guild there's lots of drama. What if you don't agree with the philosophy of the 1 large guild? Then you need to either suck it up or be a loner. Having lots of small guilds lets people be themselves, follow their beliefs, and find their own community.

Totally and completely agree. I also hate when their is just 1 huge guild. It takes away your options and if you piss that 1 guild leader off your pretty dead in the water.

To grofire- You act like you have walked the earth for 20 years learning from wise men. I know its hard to hear this but all the things you have learned(game and strategy wise) in this game you learned slowly and little by little. If you wanted to sit down someone and let them play with you they could learn every single thing you know about this game in a matter of a couple of months. This game is not that huge to where if you dont play it 4 servers you wont know everything. It just comes down to you old players being friendly and sharing the information to the new players. Most of you are to set in your ways and in your little groups to do so.

What's with the retarded mimimi crap? Seriously, 1st graders have better flames then that. It's kind of pathetic actually. You think it rages people but it really makes people think about how much of an idiot you really are.

That is sort of contradictory. You've seen what small guilds do, Yllse is a prime example. You say that everyone in Yllse wants to be a 1 man army and that there's lost of small guilds. Then you say you hate guilds with only 1 large guild (and really with the population of the game, you can only really afford 1, maybe 2 large guilds per nation. And 'large' is relative).

Lots of small guilds is what sets Yllse apart. It's also what breaks it apart.

In any case, no one has to have any fear of really pissing me off (that is if I'm to stay the leader of Lucky). I'm a lot more tolerable than I sound on the forums, and probably the slowest person to anger that I've ever met. My patience might be thin at times, but that doesn't really mean anything since I don't really hold grudges. I'm giving everyone a fresh start and chance with Lucky, and I expect everyone in the guild to do the same with each other. Drama will happen whether your guild is big or small. All that matters is how you deal with it. (gkick )
Why should I fear Death? If Death is,

should I fear that which can only exist if
I do not?

My ideal nation is consisted of 3-4 medium sized guilds. I consider a guild large when it's a super power in the nation and over 40% of the nation is in that guild. Small I consider about 10 people or so. It's not the small, tight-nit guilds that know what they're doing that I have a problem. The kind of small guilds I dislike is pretty much what I did on go-dronline where I made a guild just for the hell of having my own guild. Medium sized guilds makes everyone still have their own roles while still having enough people to interact and play with. Then again, it's wishful thinking to get something like that.

Well we basicly have what 1 huge guild( lucky) 2 med (genocide, Intent to kill) and then the rest are small. As far as lucky goes its pretty big now and it does have some of the most powerful people in the nation.

BTW alot of the small guilds are minorities that cant speak good english. I have met a few CN guilds that seem nice and helpful, just cant speak english well. If you ever want to get these people to merge with you elmy your going to have to start saying that in game because most of them dont read forums.

I've pretty much chalked up the asian guild(s) as something that's either never gonna happen, or if it does it will only be on live, so I'll worry about it then.

I would really not compare what is 'now' as opposed to what will be in live, when it comes to Yllse at least.
