Warrior stun

Postby Dragonrajashop » Sat Feb 11, 2012 12:27 am

I would like to understand what the point of having such a long cooldown for the warrior stuns.

Charging & Blood Earth share a cool down for stun, making it pointless to have both.
2 Second stun with a 30 second cooldown, seems awfully long, and pointless to even bother with.

I think buffing this a little bit would give more opportunities to have different character builds. Possible change some other things.

I tried it out and agree. A lower cool down would make it more preferable. However, it's a fine line. Remember warrior stun CAN'T be prevented AND it affects a group. You have to juggle it carefully because if you make it too short it will be overpowered.

Charging is only single target, and shares the same cooldown as blood earth.

Too short, does make it overpowered how it was, but 30 seconds is way to long and should not share the same cooldown.

That was before they set a cooldown.

The cooldown was set in a hurry cause yes I found the skill a bit overpowered. And as it was set in a hurry to match with the next Server Reboot, I didn't take the time making a new variable for it and just made it share the same cooldown. In the next update, it will have its own cooldown which will be shorter than Blood Earth's

Also I will do some balancing regarding Converting Armor/Lightning Shock and Extreme Fire/Ice.

Awesome thanks.

Will we be seeing any lower cooldowns? 30 seconds is awfully a long time. Even if you spend the CS skill points to get both Charging and Blood Earth.

I will think about it. Remember there is nothing (appart from Smart rares) that can counter this skill.

I understand that, but why waste points into it when you can rather get lightning shock and have something that is consistently on the target, rather than a 2 second stun. In 2 seconds, you can't even cast another skill and do any damage before they can move again.

What about lowering the cooldown OR adding a longer stun duraction plus allowing protection spells to counter it? Much like powerword stun. I'm just throwing out ideas, but in the current state, it remains as a useless skill to even bother with, which is what I thought was the reason for changing the skills in the first place. Right now, I believe you will still see the 3 setups, Pepsi warrior, Brute force (Dbl Slash), or Fencer.

2 seconds stun with 30 seconds cool down is kinda rubbish lol

is quite difficult to get the balance right with this. @_@
