Suggestion for GM

Postby losira » Wed Oct 26, 2011 7:12 am

I noticed that GM pays a lot of attention on warning players on forum
or just generally cleaning up forum, to ensure players behave themselves
I appreciate that very much, I think it is important to do that

Recently, I started to believe that it's probably the only thing that they do since I am not seeing much else

I want to believe that GMs has a lot of work to do and is constantly trying to improve the server
constantly solving game issues of DR or conflicts between players

When you call to a customer service (AT&T for example) about your internet, phone. etc issues
They always say something like, they value you very much as their customer
They are trying their best to solve your issues
They are more than happy to listen to your problems and assist you on whatever they can

All of you who are smart know most of the times they are just BS-ing and trying to comfort you
The next thing they do is they transfer your calls to different departments and never actually doing anything

Okay, my point is that at least they actually show you they are trying to do something

Sorry, but I have to say that it seems to me, for now at least, the GMs is not doing much at all
I am just not seeing anything productive from GMs at all at the moment
I might be wrong since I am just looking at the forum but unfortunately this is the only source

So, how about start improving by paying a little attention on the suggestion section on the forum?
There are some good suggestions on the forum and I am not seeing any replies from GM
Maybe you have read through it and thought it cannot be done due to *blah blah blah*

I think I would feel better even simply just seeing a very general reply like,
"Thank you very much for your suggestion, we will consult with the team about this issue and try to come up with something."
It's probably total BS but at least we know someone is reading our suggestions :hmpf:

+0.5 :greet:

It's always good to keep in touch with admins.
That shows they are around.
But It will sux if only GMSignPainter give some feed back, becuase he has too much work already.

I would like to know where the hell are the other GMs. '-_-

ps.: If they say they are working on background it will be lame :?

Thanks for the suggestion.

To be honest, I don't think there should be a suggestions section on the forums. It's a double edged sword. It's great if you have the resources and time to actually do them but when you don't, it bites you in the ass. When it all comes down to it, it's all about the doing. I like your suggest about "tricking" the customer from AT&T, but long-term wise players will be even more bitter that we just do the talk and not the walk. That is why at this moment, I don't see the point of having suggestions section to exist.

To answer Kador's question:
-Phalanx is again, still working on tickets on a timely basis. The daily ticket count has actually been lower since the last time i answered for him.
-Me, Excalibur, and SP are discussing what possible things we can add to the halloween event from last year.

There probably is other things happening as well, I don't keep regular tabs on the other GMs.

i dont know how dr is coded so i could be saying a big fat bs. but there are things that have being suggested in this forums that shouldnt be taking more than a couple of minutes to do since they are nothing else than a stat change.

take Simunian's Bosom it heals 3/5/7 % for a few seconds making it completly useless, buffing the healing and duration numbers will make it more appealing as a tanking skill, same could be said about other skills, spells and equipment that are heavily underated, nothing new or complicate just a buff to their numbers.

little changes like those will sure show people that the game is not dead.

Agreed. I kinda know how it was coded, so I posted tons of suggestions that they actually can do with no effort.
Some Update would be great. I really mean something. Anything!
