hybrid builds

i know gm didnt whant to create new spells but i think it would be a realy good idea to create more options when it comes to character builds.

notes:
1)this spells cant be combined with combat skill or positive buff spells, this mean that priest/wiz cant cast positive buff on players using this spells.
2) using this spells will overide existing positive buff to avoid oponent casting some random positive buff to screw the build
3)this spells are self cast only.
4)this spells will stack with each other.
5)cap on ws/ps of classes should be removed
6)numbers can be changed

holy might (clone of holy fire): can be used with any weapon, on next hit deal 80% of weapon damage in 3 tiles using holy fire animation.
100 str 50 ps

holy protection (clone of sfd): same as sfd
150 str 75 ps

Authority of Greatest Luck: same
140 str 107 ps

mighty rage (clone of holy rage): can be used with any weapon,hits deal 100% of weapon damage in a line (holy rage animation).
220 str 170 ps

increase Power(clone of power of pray): increase phisical damage by 50%, stacks with other hybrid spells.
300 str 250 ps

Lethy's protection(clone of Lethy's Authority): reduce 50% of physical damage, 30% spell damage and give a chance to return damage.
400 str 300 ps

fire bolt (clone of fire arrow) only for bow/knife add 25 spell damage to attack for each lv of magery
50dex 25 ws

ice bolt (clone of ice arrow) only for bow/knife increase damage by 1% for each point into magery
350dex 300 ws

hm so if warrior thief archer get cloned spells do wizard priest get cloned skills :shock: ?

the balance of this spells are based on stat wich means who ever go for them will either lack in hp or good weapon, skills ask only lv wich will be hard to balance.

although a remake in the earth tree to make it only staff wont be such a bad idea, not like many will complain of the lost of that skill tree anyway :roll:.

well

wouldnt really waste anything, least about of points you start with is 10 making the most stats "wasted" would be 15 which is only 1.5lvl, leeching to 100tt adding 2500spell dmg per knife/arrow hm.. ok so how will exp work, all of it into weapon/spell or half and half or weapon dmg to weapon and the 2500* into spell?

Oh and if wiz/priest got their own skills too then yeah since earth really isnt used here i guess changing it into a tree for them wouldnt be a bad idea but then again if they were to work into changing the tree they could just change it to be useful again ;)

with a flat +25 spell dmg per magery is not going to do much as a main skill past lv 3x so is cheap, damage should be spell damage efectibly increasing magery and being affected by magic vigor rares, olso note that that thive/archer spells are incomplete later on an upgrade like this can be made:

fire xxxxx only for bow/knife add 50 spell damage to attack for each lv of magery and can be combined with increase magic spells.

and a final vertion with 75 spell damage per magery lv.


as for the earth skill tree, there are suggestion to buff it but no one seems to care.

im leaning more towards Would over Could but yea i agree its too late to much such major changes :/ if anything do something about earth >.>

I still think its stupid, the line earth skill for 2handed weapons was supposed to be more dmg than boom, and it was until boom got increased :p, i used to play earth cause i liked that skill for leveling

leaving outside the earth skill tree wich no one use anyway i dont see they huge problem the already existing classes will have if the mentioned spells are introduced.

in the worst of the cases people would have to adjust their strategy to fight the new wave of hybrid builds.

Love the idea, but I don't think it will get done. I mean, look at archer changes. Those have been planned for over 6 months and still not done and like 90% of the DR population think it's a vital change. Something like this probably would not get implemented for years (if the server's up for years).
