Have you lost your dedication already and that's why you stopped interacting with the community? I'm sure you still read the forums but just in case you missed it, I think you should be more active and start communicating with the community again. There's this guy, eriger777, who's about to become more qualified than you at being a GM.

Kid and I already chopped his tree down... and he broke.. Just like we made eriger777 break.. lol

Thanks,

My tuppence...

I don't think telling the community what is planned for the next update is wise because, when that update comes around, and does not contain all the things it said it would, there will be complaints. Sure, have a wish-list of items that may or may not be implemented at any point in the future, but only post definite information on an update after it has been rolled out. That's how the big boys do it.

And the community GM would do well to avoid answering leading questions or lowering themself to the level of hostility presented in this thread and just do the job of issuing community information in separate threads as and when necessary.

1. we have nothing in store so we're bullshitting you to make us look like we're doing work
2. we have things planned but don't want to say it because we have no faith in the coders that they will get it done

Now seriously, why don't you want to tell players what's "planned"? Telling players what's to come gives them a hook to keep on playing and anticipate the changes. You can always change your plans later on. Keeping it a secret either means you're not committed to these "plans" or you don't want to deal with the whinning if you don't get it done (in a timely manner).

PS: so when are these changes going to happen? Before or after balancing archers (suggested pre-server and still not done afaik)? :D

We simply, cannot pre-announce major updates in detail. It might make sense if all of us are working on the same thing but we arent and even if we would, we still cannot pre-announce it unless told otherwise. End of discussion
