Beginner tutorial (BETA)

Well It's a start and we have to look forward ofcourse your Guide needs improvement but at least it's a start.And if everyone helps (which is not an often phenomenon in the DR-Community) this guide can be very helpfull to new players.

When you get a new game/toy, how many of you go and read the instruction manual BEFORE trying out the game? ALMOST NO ONE.

Most OLD players don't even read the forums or the official website. What makes you think that new players will when there's an obvious "Beginner's Guide" in the game? People rather PLAY through a tutorial than just READ it (if they read tutorials at all). When I get a new game, I look at screenshots, install, play. If I LIKE the game, then later on I will go and read some guides or look up information about it.

Also, do you honestly thing DR will get new players who are "brand new to MMO"s? Probably not. If you're JUST getting started on MMO's, you'd prolly try something mainstream so most people are familiar with the mechanics of a MMO already. You don't need to point out the obvious. It would be nice to point out how DR is different from other mainstream MMO's though. Click + move style games are almost extinct. When I introduced friends to DR, they had a hard time getting used to and figuring out why wasd doesn't work.

It's a good try at doing something but poorly executed.

i read them actualy i usualy plan the character before starting.

anyway i think the guide is a good beginning yet if i where a noob and i read that i realy doubt it will solve much, as an example chat info need to be improved or else noob will be lost with all the diferent color text.

The eff is wrong with you? PMS? I for one would read the tutorial if there was a nice big link to it on the main page.
