AI companions

Postby GMNyx » Sat Jun 26, 2010 11:00 am

Would you like to see AI companions in leveling quests? or is this too much like guildwars? would it make it less boring for people who cant find a party at a certain low levels? Give your feedback

they would be "pretty dumb" and about same level as you and would automaticly party you. They would hit with their weapon or possibly do simple spells like heal when you are low HP

Sounds fun, but a lot of work? As long as they arn't as crappy as summons.
And so they would also give you exp from partying them?

yes they would give you exp but not use any damage magic or anything. mostly hit with their weapons, follow you around, heal you and them self

This kinda reminds me of RO's mercenary system @@. Pricey but useful for classes like merchants and priests (basically the ones that find it really hard to solo)

If it's not too much work, I say go for it.
It would be a fun gameplay addition and I do believe new players would find it extremely cool when some random bot parties them, heals and kills stuff.

Lol can we make one that can tank? Like a gm char where they dont get hit lol? This way I could lvl when ever I wanted to and wouldn't have to wait for a tank and wouldn't waste 25 pots each db :)

Yes, I would like a companion, a dog preferably. Or an orc. Can we have different breeds of dogs too? And can they level up and have skills?

No seriously, this companion should be able to tank.. cause it's hard to find a tank.

And heal! And do all those z y x buffs. And help us job, preferably 2-3 miners or cutters.

Oh wai-
Come as you are.

Not that I don't like the idea, i think it's a great idea. But what about the possibility for AFK levelers to abuse this? Seems to me it would be like paradise for them. Hitting, healing and gaining exp, then they wouldn't need to do anything.
