it should be implemented that way if server crashes, someones internet goes down, their lag is unbareable, they have an emergency. They didnt waste R.E what if you bought 8hour pill and 45mins into your internet crashed for 12hours im sure you would be pissed even though not servers fault but it would be nice to come back on and your pill time still be there I dont see any issue

@Shayne: you can see most of them are personal. and gm already refuse to this as Shootingstar quote. I describe dbl exp pill as "cinema" cuz it can't be pause. and like I said. you can't tell them to pause it for your own issues. they're just tell you to buy another one. like a two cone icecream.. but you accidentally drop one.. then you'll left with one cone to enjoy.. just wait until they release a "DVD" version (exp pill) that you can enjoy personally and ofcuz it will cost more.

I'm not going out to the cinema to play the game am I? and if your watching a movie at the cinema and the screen stops working you get your money back or a free ticket next time do you not?

If you want to make a correct analogy...

Movie Theater = Server-wide Double Exp
You cannot stop everyone's enjoyment because you have to leave.

DVD/VHS/Digital Cable/Ect = Exp pill
It only effects the person who purchased it. Thus you have a choice.

It's like renting a movie from blockbuster/netflicks/etc. You rent it for 1 night for say $1. Then you realize your Dvd player is broken and you can't watch the movie. Sure you can watch it on computer (aka sure you can go to a friend's house and play DR to finish your pill). You still need to return the Dvd the next day or renew it (buy a new one).

It's not the rental store's fault your Dvd player broke. You also can't really return it and expect your money back.

@Shayne: the "purchase" of a Dvd is a bad analogy because pills are timed. If you buy a dvd, it's yours forever and you can watch it any time. Since pills are timed, it's more like "renting" double exp.

i would have to agree with jables, i believe that the pills should be on timer, due to the fact that there are alot of people in this game that are under the age of 18 still iving with their parents and some times just get kicked off in the middle of their pill, granted it hasnt happened to me yet, but im sure it happens to others. i find it lame if i just buy a pill and then have to get off unexpectinly, thats a waste.

now, if you buy a pill and than choose to just do jobs or somthing un related to that pill, than thats understandable and players fault for wasting time.

i think if the goal is to earn money for this server by users (meaning us players) buying these pills, i think for example me, would be more willing to spend more money on R.E. if i knew that if i had to get off my pill will still be there if there was time left over on that pill.

That's why they have the 1 hour pill. People who are afraid of these problems buy the 1 hour pill so if something comes up, they don't lose as much and the GMs make more money.

Many good reasons for this.
Your internet service could cut off on you for hours.
Your power could go out for a few hours.
Unexpected issues could happen in RL causing you to have to log off.

1 if not all happen to me like 90% of the time when i take pill

i think i am just gona re-itterate LP's post. wtf do u think 1hr or 2hr pills are for??? if you look and think hmm i'ma have to log off soon for work/school/sleep/mum is making dinner etc either dont buy a pill and just lvl normally, or buy a pill that only lasts 1 hour.

if you are silly enough to buy an 8hr pill when u are fairly certain that at sumpoint in the next 2 hrs your internet will drop of due to bad connection, or you mum will say its your brothers turn on comp then you dont deserve any kind of refund or favours.

pills have all ways been this way and i dont think it is an issue
