Tailor questions

Hi guys, i'm having some trouble with the tailor job ...i learned tailors after my butchering reaches 50..i click on the npc..it says wanna give her. 20caps..but i try bought from another npc beside it...it doest not apply to the request...hmm i would like to know how to up tailor...cause i did't done before..please kindly advise thanks!

You have to make them yourself.
It will not count if you yourself did not make it.

so may i know where can i buy thread and wools? npc does't sell

I thought that you can buy thread from the bow shop?
