Well I'm not actually noticing any huge available memory spikes when I'm playing it...

And my total physical memory is only 48 less than elvawien's, so I don't see how that's a problem...

Also, apparently it only happens when SOMETHING is going on, not just standing around/walking around the city, so...

for checking computer parameters "everest" is good ... launch the program, right click on the computer icon, fast report, normal text ... now save it to file and upload it on rapidshare/megaupload/hotfile/etc

well those are basics :

- install new graphics card drivers
- install program "game booster" (or any similar one) - it closes unnecessary programs in task manager while playing a game...
- defragmentation of your drives
- scan your drives for viruses/spyware
- reinstall DR (or copy from your friend his already installed game at dvd-r and then just copy it to your drive)

Pretty time taking and not sure if it helps (because there are tons of possibilities that may cause it) but in ur place i would do it all ... imo its probably ur system fault (because GMs fixed the problem with memory leak) so first u need to do is make it shine ;p (and on the other hand you will not need to do it later .. so its not useless even if it wont help )..

about the game booster and similar programs ... if you know all processes that you can close manually in task manager you dont need to install it

After you do that all ... let me know if something changed

try updateing ur dragonraja folder again with the last update, maybe that can fix it already

Actually, I was just going to try reinstalling it. I think it might probably work.

Of course, since the beta is over, I have about a week to do it, so I won't bother yet.

For as long as I can remember every server I have played I had the same issues. I came to the conclusion it was something windows based or it was a game scripting error. Always see people complaining about it and no one can ever come to a set fix. If you are running vista by any chance try installing the updates you've been trying but Right click> run as administrator.

Defrag didn't fix the problem...

I don't really want to use Game Booster either because I don't want it to deactivate my firewall and my antivirus. Also, I saw a rating somewhere that said that Avast (which is what I use) sees Game Booster as a trojan (Which, if you think about it, it sorta is...) and automatically disables it.

As i said it doesnt need to be gamebooster .. there are a bunch of programs of this type... but you also can do it manualy just search over what processes can you close if you dont know yet... oh about avast .... imo change it ... rly xD

I installed a new graphics driver, and then tried again- nothing.

Although I've found that it works for a while if I run it in windowed mode, albeit with some lag, but after a while, runtime shut it down. It happened right after I died, if it helps at all...

Also, I found a slime named Oil. This amused me.

Are you still having the same error? If so, i wanna ask you few things:

- Did you full install the server's client (and patch) or did u use a previous server instalation?
- Whats ur char name and nation (in game city)?
- Does it crash before you log in ur account?
- Are you on a laptop?
