Does anyone know exactly how Basic Resist works? My Wizard in beta was level 123 with 144 Magery and g8 vigor (with symbol), but my Firebird only does like 5-6k to thieves and archers, and even less to warriors and priest. That's only like 15-18k damage with 3-hit FB. Even if all three hits were BR, I don't think I could kill anyone who added ENDU. Even if all BR hits was enough, what's the chances of all BR hits? 3%. Not to mention it's hard enough to get 3 regular FB hits.

I'm new to Wizard so I don't know how much difference BR makes.

I think Basic Resit just ignores the player's magic resistance. Magic resist would be the number on your attributes screen next to where it says R. Poison, R. Paralysis, R. Holy, etc. It starts out at 70, but can be increased with items of course. I don't think that Basic Resist does anything against ENDU, White AC, or Spells, but it's been so long since I last played DR that I can't remember for sure.

BR may be one of the strongest rares, but it doesn't ignore all kinds of magic resistances. I made some g1 rares to test it with my dual 3 spell, and my BR hits did less damage on some players than normal hits did to others. There's definitely a way to reduce the damage that BR hits do to you.

that is bulshit..... maybe its less by 1-1.5 k dmg but that all, on d3 priest with full resist( magic, flame, eva) a br hit done 12k on the same priest without any rare or cloth the same hit but no br done 13 k

sentinel u're right indeed ... dont be mad at grofire tho, he never knew how to pk and so he never realy did... he's just a retard who has been playing dr for long, but he still doesnt know everything

abviously, u hit less on a priest then on an archer cuz indeed not all resist get ignored... else my br hit on priest wouldnt hv been 5k's on previous server while i'd be able to get 2x k br hits on archers

white AC is the white defence given by armors and shields. the difference between white AC and blue AC is, blue AC only gives more defence for physical attacks, while white AC gives more defence against physical attacks AND magic attacks

Blue AC comes from rares, white AC is the base AC of armours.

where do you check a chars ac and does white and blue combine or do you have to add ac from rares into your base ac..?
