1 week free nation transfer

1 week free nation transfer

Would it be possible that everyone gets free nation transfers for the first week that the server starts? The reason I'm suggesting this is that a lot of people are saying "maybe I'll go vys... maybe i'll go yllse... or maybe zyp..." but most people have not finalized their decisions yet.

You can argue that in the first week, it's easy to just delete and remake your char but I will give the rebuttal that most people are lazy to redo those first levels. If they had to remake their chars, they rather just stay in the nation they're currently in but if they're allowed to get a free transfer, they're more likely to move. One of the most important things about making DR fun is having balanced nations. This will give players a chance to balance out the nations if they see that one nation is underpowered. Also it gives players a chance to be with their friends if they end up in different places because they played in 1 nation for beta then chooses another for official launch.

You're assuming people will move nations based on balance. If anything, most people will move to go to the winning side or in other terms, the more populated side, cough.

Only give free nation transfers to the nation that has a disproportionate lack of active population I'd say. So if people really want to move, we can discourage them from disrupting the balance.

it should even be takena lil further, first week of the server, we wont be able to see if the nations are balanced or not yet, so i think it's better to wait a week or 2 and then allow free transfer to weaker nations

Also think it should only apply to guilds. I remember back on int that biohaz transfered over to yllse. The entire guild did so they had to give their members a week warning or something.

I think this is how it should be done to avoid single people just quitting and moving around. It should be only Entire guilds of 10 or more people.

I wouldn't mind a "Guild Nation Transfer" item in the DR mall either so later on if people in a guild wanted to transfer. Of course, make it pretty expensive but it saves players a lot of trouble if they want to migrate the whole guild over.

Easily solved by removing inactive players beforehand; ie, player1.
