National Flag Bonuses

National Flag Bonuses

I'd like to see each nations fag be considered as a pole arm, and increases in damage dealt as pole arms skill increase.

Perhaps other benifits can be tied into carrying a flag?

Lets give people a reason to carry a flag into battle, other then to look cool.

This could be a fun concept to play around with people, brainstorm with me.

I see what your saying. Put the power to make the ultimate flag in the players hands, but make it incredibly difficult to do, still however, your talking about creating a flag, something I dont wish to do.

I want the flags to stay unique. 3 Flags, 3 Nations. One for each. I want to see the bonuses, set in stone upon the flags, completely unchangeable.

1) Movment speed increases to the wielder, and all team mates of the same nation.

2) AC Bonus to all team mates of the same nation

3) Increased CP regen to all nearby members of same nation. ( +1/10s for every flag nearby of the same nation.)

Even that, right there, would make it worth it to me.

When I say team mates, I mean only those within a 6-man party. 1 flag bearer, 5 people feel the effects. Except for the last one, which is meant for all members of the flag beareres nation.

I dont want to mass produce G1 flags. I jsut want flags to be worth something.

what is the difficult on getting a flag? noob question but it adds in how good the flag should be to be worth it.. just cant be too good if it is too easy to get one =P

National flag:
  • increases the movement speed of all nearby players of the same nation
  • Gives a small AC boost
Notes:
  • The AC buff doesn't apply to the flag wielder himself.
  • The buff Area of Effect is circa 2x/3x as large as the screen area.
  • Warriors will be able to cast skills with flagpole, and it will be considered as "javelin" type or maybe "double axe"
  • The flag will have a separate trainable tactic OR it will use the piercing tactic.
  • Carpenters will be able to make rare flags with increased damage and a big durability boost.

"MuchLoveForDR" can you plz quote my post in your 1st post if you think my ideas are good

EDIT: also make a poll, quote every good list of ideas in ur 1st post and add them as an option to your poll.
Don't forget to credit us for the help with ideas :)

Well, currently you can only get one threw purchase in the raja mall. Meaning they cost RE.

Not many people are going to spend they're RE on something like a flag, when they can buy xp potions and lamps to light they're way (Right to the tip of my flag!)

I want to give players a reason to look at that flag again. I want to see mroe people riding around with flags! This could be a really cool concept.

RALLY THE TROOPS! BRING A FLAG!

That being said tho, if carpenters can build flags, they'll be easy to get..

For the 3rd one down, "Warriors will be able to cast skills with flagpole, and it will be considered as "javelin" type or maybe "double axe", I assume you dont mean just warriors tho, right? Im a priest, and I plan on never putting my flag down, other then to do jobs such as butching.

Also, i'm not to fond of the last one. I'd personnaly prefer if we just kept the 3 flags we have now. One for each nation. That way they still mean something to each nation, insted of people pumping out flags like they are just another item. They arn't. They stand for much more then that! I dont want them to become just another item.

I just want to see bonuses added to them, to make them more appealing to the general population. I like your ideas of the flags having team based bonuses, without applying those bonuses to the whielder. It could add for some really interesting gameplay.

Love them tho, great ideas. Everyone, keep em coming! GM's please dont ignore this!
