The new jobbing system will most certainly stay. Not only because it prevents macros, but the GMs have put enough time into it. Instead of asking them to switch back to the old jobbing system, you should ask them to make the quests easier. That way you're not macroing, and it's not hell upping job levels. The only quest I've done so far is the first butcher quest, so I can't get into how difficult the quests are.

But maybe some quests are asking for too much. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1384

Then honestly, I think the fail rate should be changed to 100% since players are spending the time to collect every single material to create it. Why should there be a fail chance?

EDIT: Yeah it should be 0% since players are gathering all the items. Problem solved. It's that easy people ^_^. No need for the "I'll quit if" attitude. :P

agreed with both of you quests is asking alot and i think items should give higher % to raise to 100 to make a rare. and of course makes no fail possible.
1.6 for brillance shoes (need 10 cycle of 5 brilliance) means 200 lizards skin for 1 rare and that is only to raise to 85%. and i dfidnt talk about orc skin. (100 orc skin).

GMs already thought of a new system to raise success rate. You make 1 normal item of the rare item you're making, and success rate goes to 100%.

For example: If I'm making Valkanes force, I make one Valkanes armor (normal item). Then I make the the rare. Pretty fast :mrgreen:

While I do enjoy the new system, I agree that some tweaks are necessary.

I mean... Sure, there are hardcore and softcore players. The problem is, rares make a HUGE difference in this game. If you make them nearly unattainable to those softcore players (or just take a really high amount of do nothing time except sit there and mine etc), those hardcore players will get the rares way before any softcore player. You've all seen what even just a set of G4's can do against people with no rares at all... now just imagine that on a wide-scale.

As it is, I believe the quest requirements are too much. I think some of them need to be lowered a bit so that it is not an absolute pain in the ass boring shit. It was a pain in the ass boring shit before, but at least I could do it afk while I slept. Now I'd have to be there for most of the pain in the ass boring shit. The time might have been cut in half still from what I would have needed before, but that's still a hell of a lot of time. Time that I have to actually be paying attention to pick up random crappy items on the ground. And just imagine butchering. Jesus christ. I wouldn't want to be any of the thieves / archers.

I think the concept of the new job system is good, with the quests and such, but the amount of time it takes is too much. They should lower the number of items needed because not it takes too long. I think a fair amount of total time to get GM would be 10 hours, but right now some of them take a lot longer. For tailoring, it took me an hour to make 7 Mischa because I failed in making like 80%+ of them and the only way to increase success rate is to do the quest. That single quest would take like 4 hours to do. Hopefully GMs will make it take less time, cuz there's no way people are gonna play this game if they have to spend 50 hours just to get tailoring GM, and 600 hours to get merchant.
