Having g6-g8 is perfectly fine. That's why u have G3-G2 ring boxs now to go with the lower grade lg u have.

Please also keep in mind that symbol rework is coming up. It also may help with combination of g4&g4 symbol. For example: fallen smart and speed symbol.

Well this topic will be a mess if we are discussing things right now based on future promises. That's like me saying "keep in mind D4 legends is coming up, so EVEN if a player somehow miraculously manages to get all the legends he wants, he will NOT quit out of boredom because D4 legend patch will give him more things to do".

GMs already told us they want players to strive for legends instead of crafted rares after dual one. And you just admitted those those legends can never compete with crafted rares which means legends need to change to fit the GM's legend rework plan.

Now whether or not the GM's vision of legend rework is good is a whole different topic. But I don't think we will make any progress until GM lets us know if he wants LGs or crafted rares to be stronger.

Basically, if GM wants to keep his vision of LGs being the strongest, then LGs will need a buff (like only G8 dropping). If GM wants crafted rares to remain dominant even at D4, then LGs can stay as they are.

Also, compared to the past, Market Place now is full of Legends and many of them are d3 g7-g8 legends.
Legends are much more nowadays.
having a community of players to play and we can trade with each other what we need and what they don't need. Isn't it the point of an online game?
eg: A wizard have priest lg and priest have a wizard lg. They can trade with each other rather than only relying on themselves.
In Online game, it is not necessary for one player to get everything yourselves. That's why there is a market place for you to buy/exchange with others.

can u even ensure that as long as things stay the way it is now(LG's cannot be obtained easily) , players will come back?
so u're saying player who are currently active won't be able to get what they want unless they spent hell load of time on it, simply because there are lot of old player who maxed up have quit?
it is always been more than 15 players who trying to loot in maze, at least on the maze i join

unlimited rare make will make it easier, it will definitely make ur rares making life shorter than before

I just wonder that does this thread discuss everything about LG drop rate or just about suggesting the LG grade should be G8?

I don't understand why you need to mention a specific item as I can't find a D3 G7-8 Speed/Masking robe in the community as well.
Do it link to increase drop rate and change all legend grade to G8? For me, it is not a convincing reason to be honest even i myself mainly play priest.
In your example, I actually a bit confused: do you suggest to have higher % or drop rate in wise effect specifically? Or suggesting higher drop rate in all Robe items? Or higher drop rate in all priest LG? Or even higher drop rate in all the LGs?

As increasing all the LG drop rate will change all the class and LG value (considering nowadays market place is already full of D2 G8 D3 G7-8 LG) and you might still not find your specific desire items.
One of the potential results of increasing lg drop rate is that the market place will be flooded by d3 lg but you may still not getting a wise robe as you may get all other lg items but just not wise.
Increasing drop rate for all legend items can have massive impact on the lg value and it is unfair for some players who spend quite a lot of money/RE on legend item.
Simply you want to get a specific item like g8 wise robe and then you suggest to increase the drop rate for all LG and need the whole server to suffer the outcome. I don't think it is reasonable (considering in both threads, both side opinions are like 50/50)

One particular piece of lg should never be better than crafted rares. With the lg work, a particular effect not longer limited on one part and most useless effects are been take out and there is not longer grades below g6.

I don't see any reason to improve the grade to g8 only. It's already way better than before and to be honest, amount of players join quests are way less. Number of quests are increased, maps now have a chance of dropping and less players attending quests. You already have much HIGHER chance of getting lg either you need/ you can sell or trade.

If you want lg to worth more, put ur focus on the bonus set effects. That's the reason why you should use/collect lgs.

It's only two months, people already crying about not getting what they want. So they want to improve the drop rate. So after a year or two, the server is going to full of lg like the old lg system? Rares are already worthless if you check the market. I don't see any reason to improve the drop rate at all with current number of players. You may suggest increase of drop rate if there is a great change of population but i dont see that happening anytime soon. I wonder if people asking an increase in drop rate because they think its bad for the server or just because they are not getting that particular items that they want?

I have a completed D3G8 set of tizigane(before i went to afk 3years ago) but missing BR, and wiz set is a shit. I think its not hard to certain players to get a d2g8 set.
I still think we should make LG g8 only or g7/8, i dont see any player is using G6s, except d3 force bow/knife. Its pointless to keep aguring this matter since it is impossible to make it happen due to coding issue.
Just move on folks.

AA's quote of what I said still stands. We do want to add more to the set bonus so it stands out - better than crafted rares. We just haven't gone there yet.

A full d1 set is worth 36 grades. You can get 40 grades from a full g10 crafted rares set. That's a difference of 4 grades. It immediately flips when you get a d2 set, which can max out at 42 grades. D3 set maxes out at 48 grades. I don't think the issue is making d3 legends static at g8. The issue is the low drop rate combined with the random nature. The factors are class, pieces, rare effect, and grade level. Those factors are making the odds of collecting a full, desirable set impossibly high. We know this and we will address it down the road. All we can do right now is to ask for your patience.
