Does the critical rare effect work?

Hi,

Does the critical rare effect work? For example, if I have a G5 critical rare, I will receive 16% increased chance to hit critical damage? Is that formula working in the server?

They dont give any considerable effect and are at the moment considered useless.
When testing with g10 critical we saw very little increase in critical hits.

They work but not as everyone would expect.
Afaik criticals (in general) work this way in DR:

Each time you attack, an hidden counter gets incremented. Also, each time you attack, a random number is generated, within a fixed range. If the counter gets over the random number, the hit is a critical hit and the counter is reset.

The role of critical rares is to decrease the min & max values the random number can be, making critical hits slightly more frequent.

Finally, we plan on working these rares to make them more reliable.
