publicity is a good idea but i think the game needs to first fix a few things.
low/mid levels experience: while many will point out that one can be d1 in a couple days, odds are that a newcomer who has no idea where to level, that is not using pills, or rares or cape or friends/bots partys to level up will take much longer and quit before reaching the stage where the game truly biggins.
variety: this is important, the bigger the variety the less likely people will get bored of the game becouse there is always something new to discover and try. we have lots of atributes, spells and skills yet most build look alike becouse "x" weapon/spell sucks compare to "y" one and most atributes being just enought for equipment/spells
changes to already existing skills, spells and atributes can open a ton of builds for old people to explore, a few examples:
fire arrow
"x" * int as % increased damage
deals area damage
ice arrow
"y" * int as % increased damage
single target
authority of greatest luck
increace melee damage based on str
increace chance to evade based on dex
chance for a double melee strike based on wis (around 40% with 600 wis)
dispells if used with CS
all staffs having an inbuild mod that increase spell area based on ps and spell damage based on str
and the list goes on
