I was going to suggest the same as Sillon but also did not think those people that did start over could resist the g9's on their other chars . And there would come a time when the 'new' chars would be influential in wars/quests and then the D4's that Garlik mentions could not ignore them anymore and then go ruin their fun.

Only way it can work is to turn pk on for level 11+ chars in Schoolium and reduce xp after this point also. Then forbid players to return to that map once they leave it, and then the new chars can stay there forever! No-one can gm a job, and so no rares means this environment will always be as close to balanced as possible. The shop NPCs would represent Hegemonia, but I let you decide which nation the Rats, Sheep and Cows represent! Apologies to the chickens.

a reset is hardly a solution if nothing is going to change, what the game needs is a bit of fresh air (updates) and the need to make it more appealing to non hardcore players.


updates for what i can see are halted becouse of lack of manpower, i could be talking out of my ass righ now since i dont know how DR was programed but there are still lots of posible updates that could be done and dont require much manpower, as an example:

actual pray: dmg*1.5
copy paste skill of pray (self cast only, overrides pray/enchant): dmg * (0.003*str + 0.005 wis)

congratulation i can think of at least 3 new builds with that change:
full str/con/ warrior that cant use skills
fighting/suport hybrid priest that trades endu/movp, etc.. for increased physical dmg in pray
full str,wis priest that will have very high dmg but much lower survival.

similar concept could be aplied to many spells or skills across the classes like gaining dmg, area, dmg reduction, penetration or status like slow from stats.

for instance skills like holy rage or farencha could get 1% increased area of the explotions every 5 dex.

how to make the game more appealing to non hardcore players is actualy easier than one may think and no is not about giving ridiculous amounts of exp or giving free g10 items.

non hardcore players are players that whant to play at their own pace, this means that the only thing that needs to be done is to add brackets to current wars and event say 30-40/41-50/51-60.. where they can participate without getting 1 shooted by much higher chars.

furthermore it would be interesting if the game where to be less based on items, a high grade item should be giving a boost of 15-25% at most over the basic item so people that cant spend 3 hours a day crafting or have an army of miners at their disposal dont get wiped so easily becouse they cant spend that much time.

final note on this is that the avg player nowadays dislike the pay to win or pay to succed kind of models, diablo 3 was a good example of this, they try to introduce a pay to succed with the auction house and the games reputation whent down the drain.
"PATH OF EXILE" in the other hand got a great succes and earned quite a lot of $$$ without selling one single item that give an advantage, they offered cosmetic purchases for the most part aswell as packages that for a big sum of money the person could create their own unique/creature and add it to the game.

Im an old player, i dont have a character in this server and i was thinking on starting one, but once i logged in ive seen an empty server, and actually the few ppl i saw had full lvl and full rares (G10's).
Ive been reading the forum and found out theres a lot of macro lvling, they even make rares with macro hunting skins, so its kinda a bot game right now. Other thing ive noticed and is probably the main reason im considering not to start a new char is the pking issue. People cries way too much imo, and obviously if they cry is not good for business, so that forced them to limit the pking. Anyways, just wanted to let you know my point of view since im not playing it atm, maybe its different from what you guys see, Im sorry if ive offended anyone, im not trying to.

After all this, im rethinking on playing again.

There isn't many pking problemes. It's just that some people are angry at others player and spend all their time pking the same people, over and over again.

Yes there is many high level char not gonna lie... Can't make a new server everytime a new player join, but i am all in for a wipe.

There are few things i would like you to consider:
- There is no longer anyone macroing skins. We changed the system.
- AFK Level is against rules and our team is catching them and punishing.
- We made PK Off in most of Leveling maps for low levels. Of course we didn't make it PK Off in Higher levels because it would take the fun of the game. But anyway, our rules prevent someone to keep massively pking a certain person (or party) preventing it to level. So don't worry about being PKed. It may happen once, maybe twice (wich if part of the game) but I can guarantee you it wont be a problem. If it does, just let me know.
- We are currently lacking of players, but we are working on it. You are a proof of our work: A new comer. We are hardworking bringin some new content and improving old ones to make this game even more fun and attrack more people. We would appreciate if you bring some friends with you
- We are making a lot of nice events (like today's) and We can already see a lot of Non DC4 people playing
- There are several new players starting over. "Everyone is D4 full G10" is a myth. Its not like that.
You should honestly try it.

An old player here as well. Played this server back in 2010. Thinking about playing again. I would prefer a fresh start Definitely can bring some old friend back if they know they can start from the beginning again with everyone.

lvling is easy i made a cc char in matter of 2 days should just make chars not that bad tbh
