A closed beta generally comes before a open beta. The 'alpha' stage is mostly debugging, while beta is used to sort out gameplay issues or bugs. A closed beta can be handled in many different ways. Sometimes it's a select few or only close friends or experienced gamers etc. Closed beta's will sometimes go open without a reset, sometimes with, all depends on the Devs choice.

Any beta to live will usually result in a reset.

I am not, if I am, Death is not. So why
should I fear that which can only exist if
I do not?

Go all out & do as much as you possibly can in the beta, it will help the GMs out with bugs/issues. The more you play, the more feedback you can give them.

You don't have to spend the majority of your time grinding your Tactics, that's not what I'm saying. If you can, become a Dual Class & see how that works. Try out the new Job Systems & Quests. When I say do as much as you possibly can, I don't mean work solely on your Level & Tactics. I'm talking about everything across the whole board.
