Hello, DR folks,
I am Royalhaze/ Bozhai from Zypern. I just want to share some of my insights regarding some types of curses, such as Blind/ Stun/ Pepsi, as I saw another post complaining. Some of you guys might know and some of you might not know the stuff I mention here, but please be patient and be positive when you read.
First, you should always stick with your teammate who can support you unless you already get buffed. We all know that no one can be good enough to solo couple classes together. It is about teamwork. Cursing is a part of the game. And you do have couple good ways to deal with it, so we shouldn't complain too much about it and even eliminate it.
Blindness/ Stun
You can cure blindness with enlight pot and you can cure stun with languid pot. Everybody knows this.
Anti-pots
There is also a pot called anti-curse pot and a pot called anti-magic pot. Those two special kinds of pots can be made under mystic rare pot kinds. With 1 g1 anti-curse pot, you earn 30-second invulnerability with every type of curse, with the exception of pepsi. With 1 g1 anti-magic pot, you earn 30-second invulnerability with every type of magic damage. You can combine 3 g1 pots with a bless leaf to make a g2 anti pot, which lasts for 70 seconds. A good ranger can take down half of the stone or at least 30% in 70 seconds with no buff. It should be noted that two effects can not happen at the same time, which means you can not be both invulnerable to magic and curse. You also can not use that with candle effect at the same time either. The second effect will just replace the first effect.
How to make them efficiently?
You can make those pots easily with an alchemy job skill. I don't have too much time to play DR. So I digg herbs occasionally. Again, you don't have to spend much time making pots at all. But you have to know good coords, some coords have a lot of Geraniums, some coords have a lot of basils, which are the two ingredients for making an anti-pot.
If you really hate curse, you should carry some anti pots, enlight pots and languid pots with you in war or quest. No one can camp you. And in fact people always fail camping me because of that. With that being said, a good player should be able to sfd or pro your teammate once you hear or see someone who just got stunned to make sure he/she doesn't get stunned again. I would highly suggest wiz to be more proactive on buffing than just killing. If a priest is ressing someone, a wiz should get ready to pro the person who gets ressed, in case that person gets stunned right away.
Pepsi
Pepsi is really an annoying effect, which you can not use anti pots to defend. That's why I think there is need to prolong the effect of speed pots. And a good priest should realize when to use holy cure when there are a lot of your teammates getting pepsied. If the pepsier keeps pepsi, then I just keep holy cure.
If you don't want to do any of those?
Well, that is your choice, but you shouldn't complain just because you don't want to do any of the things mentioned above. A person who is prepared will always be in a better position than you. Or you are just more fit for a class who can curse.
GM PLEASE READ THIS. Should there be improvement?
Yes, I would highly suggest GM to prolong the effects of one-time cure pots for 5-10 seconds, such as enlight pot, languid pot, and speed pots. I do believe that will improve the game experience somewhat without taking off the fun of cursing someone or getting cursed.
Thanks,
