That is the most common argument everyone brings against archers, it's when people run out of brainpower as Thomas said. Torment had the highest tactic of all the players as far as I know ( could be wrong here ). His main advantage was his high level and gear at the time and being part of the best organized PvP team on this server. He was a d1 when others were CC or lower, he was D3 when others were D1. He plays an archer well, but his class is not why he was so damn powerful. I don't see anyone use Torment anymore now that so many people are D3/D4.
Thomas is a far better archer than Torment ever was imo, he's done tons of different rare builds and skill builds, including a darkness + ice tree build for archer, which turned out to work quite well for PvP. He knows his shit when it comes to this class, so he's not just spewing details out of his ass.
I agree archers don't need buffs anymore, I think our damage output is high enough for a kamikaze class, but thieves should've been slightly nerfed long ago to balance things out. Instead they receive a damage buff on their Extreme Skill. What the f*** seriously. The only nerf so far I've seen to thieves is removal of the defood skill. Sigh.
I also agree on adding a buff timer to speed potions that will negate incoming slows, but 10 seconds is too much in my opinion. It should be somewhere between 3-5 seconds rather. This will be a small nerf to both thieves and pepsi warriors and a small buff to everyone else, I think it to be fair.
They got lower AC - From using shields.
And if you consider 3-5 second immunity to make archers more feasible. Then I will definitely encourage GM to implement and then I would like to see the results (watch the same Archers still complain)
