The AC Symbol Bonus is an exception. It also protects from Magic.
The AC you gain from rare wont work, but from Symbo will..

Blue AC didn't give magic resist, but symbol is an exception case.
Symbol is blue AC but work like white AC!

if archer, thief,warrior dual priest...

G4 symbol give 24 resist all which is G11 resist all effect.....

I should dual my archer to priest...

It is a common thing about all server before!
G4 symbol + 24 resist all magic = G12, that's y some ppl dual priest in theif and warrior!
G4 symbol in lordknight, warlock, templar (Dual warrior) + 40 AC = G7.5
That's y we can see many ppl dual warrior in all class!

Make sure Templar got Symbol g4

Before symbol: 8.2k Magic damage
From g1-g4, it consistently did 8.2k magic damage.

Conclusion: AC symbols have no affect on magic damage, same results with hardest effect

I definitely know hardest does not reduce magic damage, I've had to prove this to people on a variety of servers (including NewRaja) who did not believe me. To my knowledge, symbols acted as blue rares and stacks with blue rares and did not reduce magic damage in past servers, specifically I've never noticed hardest symbol reducing magic damage or known to.

It always used to act like White ac, protecting u against spells. I `ve tested it on every server and showed it to every player who ddnt believed it.
If here ac symbol dont give you defense against magics, then its bugged. Not like other servers.

That's kinda why I find it hard to believe. 40 white AC is a huge number, if it were really like that, it should be common knowledge especially for thieves/archers and even priests.

Other explanations could be it doesn't act exactly like white AC, but through some other means in the damage formula. Kador said he'll check it out, so maybe new insights soon.
