One thing I suggest with low/medium maps, would be to add crafting materials to the drop and make medium easier. Then keep the other 3 maps for the high level players. Then low and medium maps would be for the lower end players to get crafted rares.


Making maps easier is essentially the same thing as increasing the drop rate as they both achieve the same end result, more or less.

Example: Secrets drop rate
Suppose someone does not want to increase etin's secret drop rate, but he's okay with making killing them easier (let's say decreasing their HP by half). This means etins will die twice as fast, making them drop twice as often, which achieves the SAME result as increasing their drop rate.

So saying no to one method and yes to another method even when both methods achieve the same result, is in itself a contradiction.

Ugh..... You get legend from only 2 ways, mazes and maps. Your #2-4 are the same method. But if you are going to be a donkey and try to milk it, here's what you should have said:

1. Abyss Maze
2. Undead Dungeon
3. Big Maze
4. Maps from mazes
5. Maps from farming
6. Maps from world boss
7. Maps from castle war
8. Maps from PvE events by GM
9. Maps from merchant board

How about we increase the value of legends? This makes the grind worth... Why do we always have to increase rates? We should focus on how to make them worth the effort.

What Hong means is make med easier to do, not easier to get.

Treasure maps already have somehow equal value than maze drop(which you have multiple players compete for it), make it over rewarded than maze seems not cool for me.
Im not even a fan of LG drop from map, the unique ring already good enough to attract people work on it.

If you really want to count, may be you can include:
Maps From trading with other
Maps From buying with other players (not only merchant board)
LG from trading with other
LG from buying with other players
May be even free gifts from other friends and players for both maps and lgs haha

On Topics,
I think Make Medium a bit easy for play to SOLO to complete have some sense for them as Medium won't directly drop any LG and +12ring
As long as the difficulty of high level map stay the same (and the drop rate stay the same), they will still need to complete the high level map which may directly drop LG. And the LG won't be everywhere in the server.

Hmmm. We made a lot of Insane Maps in the BetaTest, We got a LOT of garbage items, like red rare+3 max life, g3 bear solocher, g2 Fatigue gemboxes, and so. None was recoverable.
The legend drop rate is ridiculous, we got 1 or 2 legends from 10 maps. And honestly, one of the lg was thief accurate, and the other was a priest staff, Just bad luck? I dont think so.
Also the Insanes from oficial server (wich i only made 2) didnt paid anything usefull. I lost the faith in maps, too much work and no reward.
Actually maps dont worth to make it waiting for a good item or even a good legend, maybe it only worth for get sards. Items like g1 force ring, g1 dist ring, g1 desire ring, etc you can have easy, but are they really usefull if there are g2 or even red rares+3 waiting to be "caught"?
And also, how difficult it is to achieve an insane map starting up from a low? For in the end you realize that gained nothing with the highly anticipated '' insane map''. Lg drop rate should be increased.

Brandon knows how bad it is, we made insanes with him in a BetaTester char, i can say that it didnt drop anything '-_-

first of all, lg drop pattern are as below :
1. variation of 5 class
2.variation of 5 dual class for each individual class
3. 3 categories of random rare effects roll on each lg dropped

Im not discussing about [I've got a single legend item with effect I want and I'm happy], Im discussing about [I've got full set LG with all the effects I want], and with this drop rate and above mentioned random factors, how long do u think we had to grind?what are the "reasonable" time frame for player to grind in order to archive that?

I've been away from the server for quite some time so maybe GM or someone can answer my 2 questions

1. How many years has the server been up for?

2. How many players have the desired full legend set that they want?

Ya im sure lol most of them will just quit because they felt the game is lacking updates again :D
Once they get everything they need, they will just quit and pressure for more.
