Archer fix

They are indeed better, but still not THAT much better, so sacrificing all that ac to be an archer with better damage than a thief just isnt worth it.

I hope you realize that the problem is not with the mechanic of archers' multi, it's the use of shields. Put a D3 shield on an archer, and it has the same defense as a thief. Is the damage difference worth the AC trade off, that's up to the player's playing style and preference. I mean, look at fencing warriors. The damage from roses isn't nearly equal to the AC you'd get from a shield but people still play fencing. Are you going to say roses is useless?

What's the benefit of making the archer multi the same as a thief? You'd get a thief using a high level bow? Then you might as well get rid of archers as a whole because you're just coping a thief.

add more force to desperado's g4 symbol
+40 force isn't really worth the effort :hmpf:

Thieves have alot more than just an awesome white AC bonus from shield:
    Horn of Iceberg
    Icing Armour
    Critical Hiding

    Poisoning Nova
    Dark Blade
    Cheroy Blade

Does archer having a better spammable multi ( and once again not always ) really balance out compared to having such a wide arsenal of other extremely useful skills?

I'm merely saying that archer multi mechanics shouldn't be changed so that it's a copy of the thief multi (mainly pointing out to Cymru that archer multi does indeed have it's advantages). Other than that, I'm all for giving a boost to archers. I just think it's retarded if you're going to turn archers into another version of thief.

Well I can agree on that actually, even though it would help training, I actually like the current archer multi's spread ( it's just awesome, one of the reasons I play the class :love: )

Desperado symbol should have been been adapted to Dark Bear skins perhaps ( like Corsair is Dark Bear skins ), but it's too late for that (Y)

for symbols, nothing is as good as 40AC (g7.5) + G4 accurate as far as physical damage dealers are concerned.

True, but that's not the point here.
Anyways a complete symbol balancing should have been done before live launch ( but hey we demanded a quicker launch, so we are to blame aswell (Y) ). Since this isn't a company like Blizzard the massive QQ would be dreadful to the server now cause so many characters already have their symbols.
