Player1 is a relatively new player looking to join a guild to make ingame buddies 8-)
*player1 joins guild for the lulz*
*player1 goes off*
*guild transfer is discussed and is voted positive*
*guild transfer in progress*
*guild transfer completed*
*player a-z are happy happy, yay :D *
*player1 logs in*
*player1: "WTF now im zypern and I can't afford to go back? BVÜRFIWJEKFJDASLKJHG"*
*player1 ragequits the guild, possibly even DR and maybe never looks back*

Easily solved by removing inactive players beforehand; ie, player1.

Did I say player1 was inactive? no
He was just off for a small while.

Ok, so in your scenario the guild leader announced that they were going to change nations, gathered the RE to do it (Since it was mentioned it should obviously be an expensive item), gained enough support of whoever was online in the guild at the time to do it, didn't check through his guild roster, didn't make sure everyone that is in the guild would want to move, all in the time that a new player had to log off and log back in. Awesome. Just, awesome and completely not one-sided scenario you've made up here.

... I don't usually waste my time on arguments that are resolved with common sense. I must be really bored.

Not only that, obviously GM's would probably be lenient in transferring you back without cost if it was done against your will.
Why should I fear Death? If Death is,
I am not, if I am, Death is not. So why
should I fear that which can only exist if
I do not?

yes all in that time.
And if the GMs transfer you back, then there is indeed no problem :D

täisdibla i think you got some point but ... i assume gaining RE for such an item would take a bit too so its not like guild will move lets say from vyseus to zypern in 1 day .. i am sure that a good guild would talk it over even before they start gaining RE and ask by guild chat (or in game mail) who wants to go zypern and who doesnt ( so making a list of volunteers) ... to sum up the whole process should long for even 1-2 weeks or more .... and 1-2 weeks is a bunch of time imo to check ur mail in game :P... and if you suppose go for a long journey like 1 month or something then just leave the guild for that moment and ask the guild leader to invite you again as you return ...

I for example take pauses in games for weeks/months without any notice to anyone, maybe a few goodbyes to best ingame buddies if I realize ingame already that I've had enough for now. After a pause like that I decide to start playing again, I suddenly discover while logging in that I'm not in yllse anymore.
But elmy is right, a GM would probably take care of it if you request to be transferred back.

I think it sucks more to come back after a long break to find out all your friends/guild mates moved to another nation and left you behind than to find out you're suddenly in another nation.

That or instead of a mass move item, give guilds discounts if more than 10 people want to move or something? I donno. I'd like to make it easier to nation-switch for whole guilds 'cause most old players who may be willing to help balance nations will probably not do it if they have a large group of friends and not everyone can afford a nation change.
