Removing PK from town completely will make the towns very boring

I am against for the sort of PK that is evil by intent, but I'm totally for PK like duels( but duels take time, and they are between 2 players, thats why PK in towns should be kept )

I remember there was a topic where it was discussed that you deal less damage if the person is from the same nation and alot lower on level from yourself. I think if that would be implemented, and guards buffed, it would be excellent.

What ever we decide i just think it needs to be harsh enough so people wont pk the new people. I dont care if some high lvl pks another high lvl in town. You a big boy you can take care of yourself or get your friends to help you. But as far as new players joining the game and getting to town for the first time and someone kills them. That should be punished as harshly as we can to avoid new people from leaving the game.

Example:

I made a new theif yesterday and i went to town at lvl 10. I was in the shops in yllse market buying things i need to get started. Then Kips from Adrenaline comes over and kills me. But did she leave it there? No everytime i respawned kips would kill me till i was out of the eggs i bought. All she would say after each kill was LOL as if killing me where i cant move isnt enough you have to laugh about it.
(And yes i'm well aware its beta but we all know this goes on everyday when servers are live)

I personally got up set and i'm a old player. The new people would probably think thats how everyone here is and quit the game right away.

I know but we need to keep people like that in mind when we think up these new things. I know people like tensu brings extra chars and gets -exp and things that way. But people like this is what we need to plan against.

Sorry just skimmed through this topic.

If there's a tactic cap, then yeah no one in their right minds (if they're a leveling char) would want to get nk and -%. For those who does, there's always the option of adding -% NPC. So that would cut down the town pkers quite alot.


For guards to kill the people left who wants to get NK. You can't just give them a dmg based on hp % alone. A guard hitting 300 dmg on a lvl 1 is the weakest guard in the world. You have to give them a base damage then a % damage.

Also read here that anthem is crap. I agree. I say a priest should only be able to use anthem once every 10 minutes that or a person can only be anthemed once every 10 min. At the rate it is now, you lose 1 NK about one every 5 min, and with 20 NK a kill that's a hour and a half of waiting. Now if you get anthemed it's 20 min (still a decent punishment for killing someone).

Another suggestion I might add is, if your NK goes to about 50 and a guard(or even another player for that matter) kills you. I say teleport you to a "jail" (got alot of unmovable places in every town). Then you have to wait for your NK to reach 0, or beg priests to anthem you :love:

I am a priest and i'm ok with the " person can only be anthem once every 10 mins" I would prefer that over "a priest can only anthem every 10mins". This would also cut back on the spam and maybe people will let me stand in town in peace for once! (Y)
