Well i'm not allowed to tell you whats being implemented in the next update, if i was allowed then i would tell you, doesnt mean im an "idiot", thats just shallow minded, anyway, this post has turned into scolding, so im locking it.
So, you're another one of those GMs that lock posts because they are getting scolded about the poor quality of work you're putting out. Then you ask us not to be negative about it. Yeah, good luck with that. Especially from me. I will speak the truth, and there will be nothing you can do about it.
Now, you say you're not allowed to tell us whats being implemented in the next update. What is the reasoning behind this?
I am pretty confident to say, there is only 1 active coder at this time. Then you have the event GM, that can really only handle events (but he is waiting on coding to do any spectacular events, instead of the same old events we are used to) Then we have you, who is suppose to be the community GM, who is suppose to be informing the community about what is going on, instead of feeding anyone that ask a question a line of bullshit.
Thanks,
Minipp

So basically, you're here to tell us not to be negative because it looks bad to new players, but in the same breathe, you are telling us nothing about why we shouldn't be negative. Who is in charge of giving you the permission to let us know what is going on? I'm pretty sure nobody is in charge and that you are just feeding us with that line of bullshit again. If not, prove me wrong.
So instead of trying to argue with the players about being negative, do something about it. Listen to the suggestions players have, and fix it. And that is why I am calling you an idiot, because you're not doing that.
Thanks,
Minipp

every player was waiting the update news, its been a long time so far still haven't see any information about that. i can asure u telling us update wont give any bad effect on gm teams and for the server? why so secret about it? i don reli understand why hiding the information. If u tell us the update is going on, im sure alot players and forumer will shut the f*** up now instead scolding gm team lack of proffesional? or .... tell us u don even make a single update until now coz im busy real life something etc and im shame to be tell the players, so i'll secret it as long as i can until im reli free to do the updates? oh well... this only make players suspicious alot. come on, review the truth here?

"I can't tell you what we have planned" means to players:
1. we have nothing in store so we're bullshitting you to make us look like we're doing work
2. we have things planned but don't want to say it because we have no faith in the coders that they will get it done
Now seriously, why don't you want to tell players what's "planned"? Telling players what's to come gives them a hook to keep on playing and anticipate the changes. You can always change your plans later on. Keeping it a secret either means you're not committed to these "plans" or you don't want to deal with the whinning if you don't get it done (in a timely manner).
PS: so when are these changes going to happen? Before or after balancing archers (suggested pre-server and still not done afaik)?

I will let the COMMUNITY discuss what they want to see or know.
Thanks for contributing helbreath and LadyPhoenix.. Anyone else want to express their opinion?
Maybe these are some discussions you as a community GM should start and work on fixing them.
Thanks,
Minipp

Just read over the thread you locked. lol. I didn't get my input on it.
This isn't "scolding" but constructive criticism and points you should consider.
1. Most of the time, dedicated players DO NOT make good GMs just like dedicated soldiers do not make good generals. You can't just expect people to respect you just because you have the rank.
2. One of the major problem with previous GMs is that they refused to admit when they are wrong and will argue with players until they are right or dismissing the argument when proven wrong. You have done both already.
3. Another major problem with previous GMs is their lack of respect to the community. Just because someone calls you an idiot doesn't mean you can do the same thing back. You are providing a service. YOU are begging the players/customers to stay on your server. It's no longer a matter of the customers begging you to provide the service.
4. As a GM, you need to consider what is "fair" for all. DRG. G is for GLOBAL. There is no GLOBAL time zone. How is an impromptu event fair for players who would be sleeping at the time? Giving some a better opportunity to win prizes and not others shows favoritism weather it's intended or not.
5. DR has a LOT of money now. I would estimate thousands. Surely that is more money than you need to keep the server open for at least 5 years. If you have no dedicated coders, go hire a freelance coder to work on some projects. What are you hording all the money for? If you're serious about having a server for PLAYERS, then invest the money in part-time coders or advertisement.
6. ALWAYS keeping players in the dark when you have a horrible track record does not make them want to believe in you.
7. Fix what's broken before breaking something else.

agreed with LP.
this is not right from the beginning. you guys lack of the organization skill, lack of transparency on the info what's going on and most importantly, you need to work everything with a plan.
form a decent team, from leader to marketing to coder to community & lastly support.
a project runs without proper plan will fail for sure.
sorry for my poor english.
regards.

Dear Mr. Dedicated DR GM,
Have you lost your dedication already and that's why you stopped interacting with the community? I'm sure you still read the forums but just in case you missed it, I think you should be more active and start communicating with the community again. There's this guy, eriger777, who's about to become more qualified than you at being a GM.
