Cleaning up the Forums, Please Read

Greetings everyone,

Effective as of now, any posts that are negative in nature will be deleted. Users who continuously behave in a negative manner will receive a ban after their second warning. This includes flame wars, unfound accusations against GMs, and complaints about bans and warnings. If you wish to accuse the GM team or dispute a ban or warning, please use the PM system and please be constructive.

This is not a new rule, but rather an indication that we will enforce the already existing forum rules. From hereon out, we will not tolerate negativity on the forums for the sake of being negative. We certainly welcome positive and constructive criticisms, as that helps us as a GM team to improve, but negative criticisms will be met with equal force. This also means there will be repercussions to your in game character if users continue to spread negativity in the community. However, this will only be a last resort.

I would also like to solicit support from the community and use the report function whenever you see someone break the rules. We all share a role in being a positive force in the community, and I will greatly appreciate your support.

I apologize to the rest of the community for not sufficiently combating this growing cancer in the community. As the community GM, I take full responsibility for letting such negativity grow and affect us. I promise to use whatever means necessary to stop this from happening.

Sincerely,
GMSignBreaker

It seems like this message has not sinked in with the community. When I said I will be enforcing the rules, I was not joking. Please take care to follow the rules.

Another reminder: If you accumulate more than two warnings (so if you have two warnings and we have to issue you another warning), you will receive a three day temporary ban. Anyone caught smurfing will increase their temporary ban to 7 days. If you receive two more warnings after the temporary ban, then you will receive a permanent ban. If you deliberately cause havoc and chaos because of forum bans, you will have consequences on your in game character. Please keep in mind, this is a last option and anyone caught abusing this for the sake of getting another person's game account receive consequences will receive the consequence instead.

And this is my plea to everyone: please be respectful to each other. If you have an issue with someone, please use the PM system. If you have something to say, say it in a respectful matter. Everything can be said without using profanities and flaming another user. If you find anyone breaking forum rules, please send me a PM with the post in question. We must all work together to work towards a vibrant and respectful community.

Best wishes,
GMSignBreaker

I would like to ask one thing. When they are closing topics can we moved them to a separate topic called Closed or something? These threads are really adding up and there is no need for them to be in the same threads.

A section for closed topics (mail GM if you want them reopened) would be a good idea. Would help tidy up the forums and keep the information available if it is ever needed 8-)

I suggest one of the GMs.. (Probably Community GM) to clean up the forums.

There are lots of old topics, stickies, polls (in the suggestion forums) that could be removed. Also this post could be removed as well.

Organize the news section as well. Get rid of old topics that are not relevant anymore.

Thanks,
Minipp
