remember there was a bug,that you can not switch to pkmode?
tab>peace mode tab>battle mode tab>peace mode
the game atm should of completely take away the pk mode button.
battle mode in every maps .
(wars doesnt need pkmode)

for you experiences ,do you mind tell us the reason? is there anychance have to do with high latency aisan player?

Dont think i had any complaints about the latency issue when i hosted my own server from some asian players i knew from drunited, my reason to close mine down was majority of the time there was like 3 players online.
