Not closing, not wiping. It's not just a matter of not wanting to work on it. For example, I graduated last september and I need an income that can pay for my rent, insurances, food, etc. DR simply wont bring up enough money to be able to cover those costs for me, so I spend my time doing jobs that actually pay, or spend the time seeking for better paying jobs. We all used to work on DR aside from our studies and jobs, once stability in my life comes back, I can 'plan' working on DR again, untill then, it's a hard knock life.

This actually means a wipe as my understanding

It's pointless to keep this on from the cost saving business purpose, you are not enjoying to maintain it like Jill did before.
I suggested long long time ago to make some payable in-game content to avoid the financial issue, none of those came true. I do like what Jill did for other contents which are really really cool(UI system etc <3).

Not a surprise at all after this.

The game is still bringing in enough to keep it running, I'm not seeing how you conclude anything about wiping or closing... You read what you want to read.
