crestofstar, whata name, its obviously a side acc just for it hack, GM should trace IP and ban the main also

just something i was wondering a while back... there is no way to make a server side validation on dmg, speed of sequential attacks, spell used and others to prevent this kind of thing? any gm know if it is possible?
i dunno how hard it is to "fix" this kind of hack but depending on how the messenges are exchanged between client and server app i think it is possible to prevent this kind of thing i just dunno if it would be to expenseve to the server to run such validations... maibe it will make server too slow?....

there's ways to counter this.. and i'm not sure but GMSP said he was changing the networking system for dr so dont u think it might be a way to prevent it?

nice... they should try testing this network changes while in beta and with this hackers to see if it really works =]

client send information to the server to say what the players "want" to do
server get this information and then do the actual work
if all the validation is client side if you change the client server will still process the commands even though the commands are "invalid"
it probably does this validation both client and server side but it seems strange the server allowing some of the things hackers can do like using skills/spells they dont have with alot of dmg or with fast attacks... changing the way the server handle and validate commands from client (network) maibe it is possible to minimize this kind of hacks... like hacks to walk fast and attack fast like in this SS

ADRENALINE in beta=all player can enter
