Be rational: if you are in doubt if it's allowed or not, DONT do it.
About PCloud, GMSignPainter also agreed on deleting it (actually, way before Tempest say so).

GMs will judge you. GMs will decide what should happen. If everything was the samething, then we wouldn't need someone to judge every case. It depends on what you are tying to do, and what you've got from that.

If you edit FireBird to hit more than usually, then you must be punished.
If you edit any other file but don't get any good from that, then you shouldn't be punished.
But anyway, in the end, It's basically up to GMSignPainter to decide what happens.
Be the change you wanna see to the world.

haha...um...tho is not wt i am expected, both of u two are rational on supporting wt u have said. ;-)

Actually, i just want to say, should we just got one standard for adjusting one problem :

the punishment of deleting pcloud(is it equal to editing files/client?...i dont know indeed, i am noob of this kind of stuff o.o) = the punishment of spirit hack = the punishment of editing skills/spell = several times of hacking

The reason y i said i love GMTempest's reply on other post is he does really adjust differently and trying to handle different problem/situation in different ways.

This is not a post for saying who is hacker/who r a gd gd player.
i hv to make it clear, i am not going to help any hackers LOL....
i just want to let all of u to think abt, should we handle different situation differently??

If yes, then i am here to make a advice, dont always cite those cases which are already settled by GMs.
For new cases, how to handle it should just based on how serious it is, and let the GMs make their own adjustment.
Once the player want to complain/appeal, others just shut up and see how GM handle it. dont always create a new post and providing his/her own opinions on tat case.

Um...really sick of reading tons of similar posts related to hack/edit file/or else....Nth more to discuss rather than these stuff? lol

Gab wrote:i assume that ur talking about deleting PCLOUD.

since GMTempest said its not a big problem if ppl deleted it.
then we dun need to discuss it.coz its allowd by GMTempest.

but wat im thinkg in my mind is....
suppose there is a A from zyp deleted/edited some files in dr folders.
and he got caught by other players..wat should GMs DO about it?
ban? no ban?
if ban,A might say "for me,its just like deleting PCLOUD,how come GMs ban me and lift others?" :hmpf:
if not ban, yllse ppl would say something like favorism or corrupt..etc(mayb A just deleted/edited some files like PCLOUD ) :hmpf:

all i want to say is GMs got plenty of time to explain every file which is allowed to edit or not?
tbh, i guess not.
and if not only A do this, but B.C.D.E.F...................wat will u do ?
well....im just curious why would u bring some much trouble into ur life?="=

umm...after i wrote tis....i found its all crap-,-...sry and ignore me T_T

quit the crap gab, so far is only stax, lima, bocklove and colo crying about meke...

and u need be clear on this, delete pcloud is not editing files, is deleting... im a medicine student, -1 to pc shits and i note the diference... and dunno why so big deal, when those brs made the drtoolz at .my u didnt seem to be worrie about...

In my view deleting pcloud may give you an advantage over getting drops (in VD), deleting tree will give you advantage in war.
Why not stick to the rules?
Changing de client in any way shape or form = perma ban.
This unclear ruling is what gives most of the complains here.

Calling me a retard is uncalled for , I'm not using a high end PC either
If anything the rules should be changed to reflect what is allowed.
I really don't mind what they allow as long as its in the game rules , not some random ruling that is okee today by this GM and banable tommorrow by so GM.

*edit* i made a post in suggestions about it

Regarding Pcloud, we are sticking to the rules.

File deletion can fit under modification but it can also fit under bug use. File modification requires specific knowledge to perform, which is not needed for file deletion. A file deletion is more appropriately a bug since it takes advantage of how the client deals with non-existent file like how you can perform double ex due to client. A bug is also widely available to any player to do. Therefore, this is a bug and punishment based on advantages earned.

Now, does it fit under bug exceptions where it is widely accepted by community? Yes. It has been used repeatedly in past servers by a vast number of people. Do people have a reasonable expectation for it to be a bannable offense? No, there are no widely-known cases where people were banned for it. Therefore it fits under the bug exception clause, no punishment necessary.
