As I said,

it seems like you prefer weak punishments to keep ppl stay on server, when they get caught and time banned / rolled back.
I disagree with that, punishments need to be as hard, as to make ppl not do it.

Just a suggestion maybe, I dunno how easy/hard this is to do:
PPl, who have been caught for AFK lvling before, are beeing set on a list.
GM would have to make a application for ppl on that list, a window pop up every now and then (or in fix intervalls) with certain questions or for an computer program unreadable signs, and player would have to type em in to verify he is not afk lvling ...

Dunno what you´d do about ppl just beeing afk in town or so though...

So anyone who does not agree with his punishment can just threaten to leave and then his punishment will be decreased?
Too bad we have 1 less player, but on the bright side: good that we have 1 less rule-breaking player.

Anyway let the GMs handle it. This thread is already getting way more attention than it deserves.

Kamos, i do believe that every game need to have rules in proportion to the player pool. WoW wouldn't care 1 second to ban someone, they have 20 million other player. In dr with 100 player, every player are presious. I think the sentence need to be pissing off, but not enought to make him 100% sure he leave.

The rules governing AFKing is clear; if you AFKed and already received a warning, you will receive a temporary ban and a rollback on your character's progression. We will not entertain the idea of scaling back punishments to retain that one player and his/her friends. The cost of that is losing the trust of legit players who expect fair play and proper enforcement of the rules.

As for rolling back grofire to level 10, I have said I will discuss this issue with the GM team. This issue is the only thing I am willing to grill the team on. Everything else regarding grofire has been dealt with according to the rules and procedures set by the GM team. And if I may be honest, fixing issues with legit characters and dealing with the bugs are more pressing issues than worrying about a character that will be banned for 10 days anyway. I will try to get the issue resolved by the time grofire is unbanned, but I cannot promise anything.

i think that the argument here past grofire condision a long time ago.
the discassion is about clearing up the ruls and the Proportionality of a punishment the the crime.

AFK lvler get BAN + roll back. the ban is the actuall panish and the roll back ment to get rid of the unfair adventage the AFK lvler gut. 3 times cought AFK lvling you get purmenent BAN. you cant punish twice on the same crime. on Practice if you roll back one cher that mach he will not get back to play so why dont you BAN him purmenently on his first strike?

i think that as long as the panishment is not BAN for good on the first time the roll back should be Proportional to the unfail advantege that has PROVEN that the player gut.

I have talked to the GM team. Noeyesee, please check your sources before you tell us grofire has been rolled back to level 10. According to GMSP, grofire hasn't even been rolled back yet, much less being rolled back to level 10.

liranm, the rules concerning punishment on AFK leveling is clear. First offense you get a warning, second offense you get temporary ban and rollback. I don't think we can be any clearer than that.

you can be clearer if you say roll back to what:
rolled back to lvl 1
rolled back 10 lvls, 20...100
rolled back base on logouts
rolled back base on date

i will say it again, i am not against the rollbake ithink it is obligate due to the unfair advantege but i think that the amount should be said loud and clear (as you say the amount of days that you ban for verios crimes)
