New AFK Leveling Rules

This is the first game I've played that afk leeching is against the ingame rule.
I like to know what is the intention of this rule?

I see no reason to forbid this.

a game is supposed to be played.

Going by that process of thought then making your own party (tanker mage priest) to level yourself isn't playing the game either. It's letting a macro do it.

leeching does not need the use of micro. it only need the character to be there. that's it.

some people, they don't have much time to play. so they need to leech on their friends exp. to be around the same level as his friends. if he gets time to play, he could just leveling with his friend and not just leveling by himself. you get what I mean?

I don't think there is a need of the 15sec/5min thing. if someone is not responding while using skill/spell. it's obvious, that person is using micro. that person is AFK lvling. you may give a straight ban for something like this. because I think they're too old to be warned.

I've seen a few games where friends take turns leveling. Like say there's 4 friends who play together. Each pair of friends level for 2 hours then switch off so all 4 chars can get exp all day without all 4 people getting burned out from it.

yeah some of us do that in ugx to always get somthing outta the day, like we would set a time and get a few ppl to join, if they dont show we still solo so we dont waste time

So am I. If you make a party with just 3 of your characters then 2 of them are party leeching while you control the third. It's the same concept but w/e you probably don't get it.

No, it's you who don't get it. I never said I'm gonna make 3 char and lvling up myself.
if that's just your silly example. this doesn't count as AFK lvling
because I am still infront of my computer. just only controlling the blaster.

but still, I want to know why AFK leeching is not allowed.
what is your (GM's) intention on making this rule?

I see no reason putting this on the rule list.
