also thanks for the link, I have done some reading on the wars and participated in one but I don't understand it very well (edit- DR war). I will probably be better after I have more experience.

Edit: lol. I looked at the link u sent me Elmy. I origially thought u were referring to DR war. Otherwise I know quite a bit about war in RL but this is going way too off topic so lets stop at that.

Indeed If anything, Vyseus is unfair in how their last stone is setup. It's a giant cluster f*** and hard to move around it. I call shenanigans.

In terms of DR wars, it's fairly simple. Kill a nation's stones in GG. Once those are down, enter their territory. Kill the stones in that map. Then enter the next. Kill the last stones there. Win. The only tricky part is knowing where to find the stones, and it's not really tricky since they don't move

Your nation gains WP (War Points) when someone kills someone with equal or higher level than the person that was killed. If time runs out and 2 (or 3) nations have the same amount of stones remaining, the winner is determined with WP.

Nothing is fair about war. Vys first map off of grass land is covered in hard to move around mountains and tight bottle necks. Our 2nd map in yllse is wide open and they can run in a straight line anywhere they please.

So you're suggesting that priests from every nation should spam SS to counter someone else spamming SS? You've obvious never actually played the game. Maybe we should just take PK out of the game entirely, since that's basically what happens when people spam SS. Nobody can attack each other, nobody can use offense spells or skills. You actually think that's fun?

I really think this is kinda pointless...so I all I can say is if u have a skill and refuse to use it but the otherside is willing to use it, that doesn't make it unfair. It might mean u r more fun or have more of a sense of honor but its not really unfair. your skills are your arsenal, you choose how to use it.

Wow gota agree with the new guy. I think usen the cheap spells is wrong aswell. But if the other side hits me with something cheap i'll SS them in a second. I wont start it but i'll finish it.

I couldn't care less about "honorable" combat in a video game. This isn't about honor, it's about fun and balanced gameplay. Why not give Wizards a spell that automatically kills everyone from opposing nations on the entire map? Would that be fun? No it wouldn't, because it isn't balanced. It wouldn't matter how skilled you are, or how much teamwork you use, you wouldn't be able to win. The only viable strategy would be to go play a Wizard class also and use the same spell.

Complete Sanctuary is the same way. By spamming SS Priests can pretty much prevent anyone they want from being able to do any kind of meaningful amount of damage. Curse spells are different from protection spells for a reason, so that there is a balance. Curses harm you, and protection spells protect you, but if the protection spell is also a curse spell, then how can you protect against it? No matter how much skill you have, or how much teamwork you use, you cannot kill someone who is spamming SS (unless they just suck). Do you think people are going to play a game where no matter how strong their character is, how skilled of a player they are, or how good of a team player they are, they are always going to lose if some Priest comes along and decides to spam SS on everyone? Of course not.

This is one of the biggest reasons why the .MY server went out of business. One person discovered they could make g20 masking and make their SS last 6 or so minutes long, then spam it on people to prevent them from killing him. Then priests from other nations make g20 masking did the same thing because there was no other way to counter it. Not long after that, wars turned into a snooze-fest because everyone but the Mages and a few Priests had SS spammed on them whether they wanted it or not, and nobody could do anything except attack stones. Winning wars depended on how long you could prevent a priest from getting to the next map and starting the SS spam.

The success of DR hinges on the PK system. If PK is ruined by SS spammers, then this server won't last very long. The majority of the people in my guild on the .MY server quit because they got bored of having wars being nothing more than a SS spamfest. Probably around 15-20 of us quit together, which is more people than most wars on this server have. If one person starts using SS to "curse" people, then other priests are going to do it to counter, and then so on and so on until people are back to using g20 masking and it's back to full-blown SS spam. You can call it "strategy" if you want, but you can't call it balanced. There's no way to counter it except by doing the exact same thing, which just results in a very boring game.

That was way to long for me to read all of it but i did scan it with my eye balls AND... thank you for the masking idea now i know how to make SS last 6mins

All jokes aside i do think SS needs nerfed a bit i just dont want it broken as it does play a important part in the game.
