Every high lvl player afk lvls at some point in their DR career. I can't afk much while lvling because I have a little brother that will terrorize the pc while I'm afk (I've afk lvled plenty of times). But leveling is a boring task, eyes get bloodshot, start hurting, dry out, etc..there needs to be motivation for lvling, to make the players stay at the PC. And the punishment should be more harsh..warning, 7 day ban, big whoop. More like 1 Month ban+reduction of fame, around 500 or so. For D4 afkers should be a reduction of Honor points or something..not really sure. But there's my opinion :D

Dragonrajashop wrote:I understand what the rules say. I understand what you can get away with and what you can't get away with. That still doesn't stop me from doing it. Why? Because the AFK leveling rule punishment is WEAK! Woohoo, I lose 7 days + the experience I gained from not doing a damn thing anyway. WOOO! I guess I will level my OTHER char during those 7 days I'm banned. (Y)

My point is, 75% of the players AFK level, if not higher. Why do only 5% get caught? How is it fair for the 5% that get banned watching the other 70% get away with it. This is suppose to be a competitive game. Either enforce the rules heavier so nobody AFK levels, or do away with the rule completely.

For the record, I'm not saying this stuff because the latest bans were ZT members. I could care less about that.

Lot of players got caught already, the 1st warning list is way bigger than the ban list. Just most of people do not get caught twice.

Which means people are taking advantage of the rule. By AFK leveling till they get caught. So to be honest, why do we give out WARNINGS? People understand the rules clearly without a warning. :hmpf:

Not to mention, now players won't get permanent banned so now players will AFK even more. Risk getting caught is worth the minimal punishment.

My RCs are checking everywhere everyday...
So I don't see how people could take advantage of it.

I seen only ZypernRC1 twice during double experience event. I haven't seen him EVER during normal experience days. And this is the ONLY RC that I have seen. Do you have more RCs??

Players are taking the risk because the punishment for it, is so small. What do you have to lose? You lose the experience you gained while AFK anyway (no work involved), and you lose 7 days. Most players have a couple character they can spend 7 days on.

You don't get my point I guess.

RC's can be invisible, you won't see them unless they allow you to correct? and not the typical thief invisible, like a ghost where you cant see him at all.

You don't explain your point, other than you say, "My RCs are checking everyday, everywhere." '-_- Well, I'm telling you, I have only seen RC twice in the last month. Only ZypernRC1, when I know that there is more than one RC.

You are like this engineer I work with. If he thinks its wrong, then its wrong. If he is right, then he is right even if you prove him wrong. I'm open for discussion, to figure out why the change to the AFK rule was better, or why the AFK rule shouldn't be tougher.
