Sort of in agreement with Minipp here.

I am a bit more knowledgeable about this, though.

Language packs have absolutely nothing to do with DR.

If you're computer can read the symbols, then they will translate them appropriately. If not, it will show up as jargon. Whether you're in a game or not doesn't matter.

If you want to cover your bases, install Jap / Mandarin simplified and traditional language packs. Or find an asian language pack. I'd find one for you, but I'm at work and really.... it's not that hard.
Why should I fear Death? If Death is,
I am not, if I am, Death is not. So why
should I fear that which can only exist if
I do not?

How is it a logical inference that if I can't find a Dragon Raja language pack I can't read chinese symbols? Jesus fkin christ... this thread is a debacle.

@Elmy:

My computer already has a mandarin language pack and it can read characters just fine on websites. Only on DR does it turn into jargon.

If chinese characters currently show up as blocks or such, you'll either have to install some fonts that support those characters and/or set that font as game font trough a file called font.ini in the client folder; if its not there, create it manually with contents like:

[Font]
name=Tahoma
Size=12
