Question on Rules (If a GM would reply)

Postby Jarlaxle » Thu Apr 22, 2010 6:18 pm

I just want to make double sure on this. I remember there was a conversation awhile ago but I don't remember the link. Anyway, it's legal to use macro's now so long as the person responds?

If so it's legal now to make your own party out of four clients using vmware as long as you respond to the mail?

If macro's are legal then are they legal to use for jobs as long as you respond in time?

If the answer is no for the last one then why is jobs different then leveling? A macro is a macro and in beta they weren't allowed on either.

Use common sense.... you can macro whatever the hell you want as long as you able to respond. They have no way of detecting if you are using a macro. The only way they can do anything about it is if you dont respond to them, thus you are AFK macroing (which is against the rules).

It all comes down to, being away from your computer while the macro is doing everything for you. Some will use 4-5 different characters at once, but they are able to respond on all of them (perfectly legal) Honestly, I think they should get rid of line leveling and make that against the rules.

Anyway, GMSignbreaker said they were redoing the rules, so maybe it will explain details a little better. I just wish people would play the game without trying to take advantage of the rules. Just play the game normal and everything will be fine. Too many people in DR are so locked onto macroing that its not even worth playing. Why bother? If you seriously dont have time to play, then dont play!

Thanks,
Minipp

I wasn't doing any of this although you assumed I was which makes an ass out of yourself. In Beta they said there was only allowed auto click which I was in favor of. Also you can tell when someone is using a macro, don't be baka. All the macro's I seen are fairly obvious they are using macro's. I am also against using 3-4 clients to use your own party. If you would of bothered reading any of my past replys you would know this. I don't know why you are against it all of a sudden as you used the hell out of that tactic in all the other servers. Especially using jobbers to do like 4-5 sards an hour from mining or w/e. I do all my shit manual. I don't even use an auto clicker atm. My character is 100% all manual.

The reason I asked was because I wanted to know if I should turn in those people who are doing it or not along with any afk players I see.

I just wish if the staff is in favor of only auto clickers they would take a stand and not cater to people who are too lazy to play like me or don't have enough time.

dont think it should be a problem, if someone goes through all that trouble ionstalling 4/5 seperate windows OS's and putting thier computer at that much risk lol.... i think a little exp should be a good reward, obviously they would have to be able to answer on all accounts lol

I don't think it's a problem. It doesn't only help the one with all the vmwares, it also helps the people that don't have it since there's more parties (because of vmwares) available.

I dont see a problem also using VM, but, how to block it ? it will came in many problems, like a lan-party, sometimes we call some friends and do a lan-party to play, its petry funny, if gms block you login more than 1 account whit same ip it will broke our lan-party, we can say about cybers too, many malaysian players play in a cyber, if will f*** them also.
