Can't make Rares

Well, I think there is something wrong with my RARE making
I'm a GM Tailor and got an Alt with Blacksmithy (wich is at 81 atm)
No matter how hard I try, Rares just keep failing
Tried like, from the most simple to the most complex (Higher and Higher level items) and still, no use.

Something wrong with me or I'm just unlucky ?

First make 1 item of the rare you want to make, so if you want to make 1 force dagger:
1. make 1 dagger
2. then select 1 to make another dagger and select the rare
3. 1 rare dagger in your inventory.

So if you want to make 1 rare you always have to make the same item non rare first.
