CARPENTRY, I NEED HELP!!!

ok so i was doing carpentary and came upon something, as i hit lvl 30 the guy asks for 20 war staffs, well i make my 20 and he still denies it. i tried making 35 just incase the number is screwed up but still nothing. does anyone know how to get past this, oh and fyi i reloged just to try that
