Applying to a Club

I wanted to join my friend's club and tried to look it up and apply for it, however when I typed in the club name, it A) didn't show up, nor did any others. B) Said I was tapping too fast, C) Showed up for a millisecond before disappearing again.
Not to mention as a new player you are automatically enlisted into a club without your consent and you will keep joining clubs and leaving until you give up and stay in the last club that accepted you.
