Mining uses up my weapon

I'm using condor knife and I find that mining with a pickaxe in the bag will reduce the number of my weapon. You may say I can simply take my knife to bag, but it's quite inconvenient.
It also costs a lot to buy new weapon for those who don't know this problem (especially those who have high level weapons). I hope this can be fixed.

if you want to job, just put the item on hand (pickaxe on this case) and make it more realistic :X

Actually I reported that I can't mine when having a pickaxe in hand. A GM told me that it's one of the modified feature of mining (so that the pickaxe will never break?).
That's why I'm doing this.
