Tactics Cap

i know leeching tactics cape is 20+ from your lvl, but it also stops lvling your tts in general, like i cant lvl my tts past lets say 129 if im lvl 108, it just stops,

is this intended? or is it a bug?

if intended i think it should be removed :| tts leeching is fine to cap off, i think this would be fine removed also because -exp no longer exist, only thing that should be looked at is tactics exp, its way too high in comparison to the exp, 100 tactics at lvl 52, some people say it is because of the raised exp, but this is also untrue

high rate servers with exp at 100x + youll still get 100 tactics at around lvl 80, so mid rate shouldnt be any different, so if tactics exp lowered so that its a decent speed faster than exp, no -exp, then ppl shouldnt be fine with the over powered tts thing at low lvls

also leeching 20 tactics above your lvl might be too less,

maybe CC can only leech 10 past your lvl
D1 is 20 pasted your lvl
D2 is 30
D3 is 40
D4 is 50

(cause dual 5 is at 150, hence you should be already done)

Sorry for the bug report/suggestion type topic.

Big Fat Edit

A few notes since it doesn't all apply;

Back on old DR-int, my thief, leveling only at DB, made it to level 109 with 119 tactics. This was usually with a group, and almost always partied at tactics so I wouldn't gain more exp than I needed. I also did not -% exp, because back then I was (as we all were) unaware.

I do think that the biggest reason we are seeing a huge gap in the TT / level here is because of the rates, there's no doubt about it. If the rates were the same (as you said usually at about level 80 is when you reach 100 TT), then it should have been the same here if the rates were raised exactly x25 for TT and x25 for exp too. But there's something odd here. The ratio shouldn't change. It's probably because tactics exp is always so much higher than normal exp.

In any case, I don't see the big deal in reaching the tactic caps anyway. Really, if you party exp and just blast, you shouldn't be reaching 20 TT levels above your level. Think about just how much -% you had to get for your TT's, and just imagine all that experience actually going towards leveling.

Not gonna lie, I misunderstood your point at first. I thought you were arguing the same thing from the thread in General section of the forums.

I really don't have an opinion on the level 20 max for tactics. I don't think it's bad, and I'd like to see it in action before commenting.

im lvl 120, with 140 tactics, atm i can lvl it to 141 tts before it completely stops, when i hit 141 it will stop and wont continue gaining exp, until i lvl to 121, and even if i party exp my weapon tactics still is faster than the exp, so id get tts up while my exp is still at 70-90%

Yeah I understand that, but there is something wrong with the ratio as it is. Like you said, in both 100x rate servers, and in normal rate servers, you'd normally get 100 TT at about level 80. In this server, you get 100 TT before level 60. There's clearly something different at work here. I'd like to see how the TT leveling goes, along with actual level, in a normal rate before commenting on whether or not the cap will be reached first. I find it extremely hard to believe, based on how much -% people get and the tactics they reach, that TT's would naturally get to above 20 of their level even while partied on full exp.

yes but how are other classes going to compete with priests?

priests can get max ac, or max magic resist, and the other class wont be equiped to take them on, priests will be 110 and a thief will be 110 with 130 tts which frankly isnt enough to kill a max ac priest

So, since when is this a 1v1 game? Not trying to start an argument, but you should also know that that same priest will not be able to kill anyone except wizards, as well.

Why? Because if you're the same level as the priest you're fight, and the same dual, for them to even have a chance at killing you they have to use a staff. That makes them vulnerable.

If they keep on using shield, they sacrifice their ability to kill anyone, except wiz, for the trade off of extra AC. That sounds like a perfectly fine trade-off to me.

On the same note, that 110 thief with 130 tactics would have been a 100 thief with 130 tactics anyway, so he still wouldn't have been able to kill him. I really don't see how the actual level affects their ability to kill anyone. Their tactics are still going to be leveling, the only difference is that now their level will go up along with it.

If anything, this is an indirect nerf to priests.

I guess what I don't understand is this: If a thief is level 100 and has 200 TT, why couldn't he be 150 and have 200 TT? This is what the GM's are trying to accomplish as far as I can see.

i guess you're right, but the only problem i see now is the jump from 20+ from your lvl to what happens when you get 150, some where along the path of 100-150, you're going to have to raise the tts cap, maybe d3, when wizards get bl, and priests already have wings

Prolly gonna change the cap so it works more like the caps before lvl 100, so it will be like +20 at lvl 100 but +25 at lvl 110 for example.
