Question/Issue about lumbering. urgent help requested :]

hello guys, girls ^^

im currently a lvl 19 priest in yllse, and i selected lumberjack as my job ;o
however, when i start cutting trees, i ''fail to use the skill'' 99 out of 100 times -__-
also, i do NOT gain any cutting experience O.O
at first i thought i had to turn in 20 logs at the guy in the shop(along with the butcher) in order for my cutting to be activated or somthing.. but now he asks me 20 timbers too -.-

so....
how come my cutting isnt lvling up? i get a very small chance of obtaining a log though :S

You have to bring the items that the guy asks to lvl your lumbering till lvl 75.

When you start with a new job you always fail a lot, its better to look for someone else lumbering and get the items he dont need.
