Parry and swords for wizard

I recently found out this unique way of building a wizard but I was wondering. How do you level up parry and sword skills? Wizards use magic?? I'm confused

use knifes to hit mobs while casting.

I got mine to 100 using a G5 Force set on the tactic poles.

i went from 20-100 in 4.5 hrs at dark bear getting all the last hits
