I'm pretty new to DR, I've played it twice, but didn't get very high. I have some questions regarding wizards.
-What spells (Circle Fire/ etc) are best to raise tactics quickly to get 5 tile lightning?
-From what I understand whirling is rarely used in high level pvp, so is it better to just level up using sword/pike, and shield?
-Lastly do staffs raise magic damage?

if im not wrong the last spell wiz usually use before getting 5tile is the ice spell that hits for 4-5k dmg...

anyone remember if the gms replyed the suggestion topics about staffs? if they dont change how they work then just some low lvl staffs improve magery but i dont remember how do you get this kind of staffs

for now u should get 100 parry and 101 whirling after a lil while aswell so u can wear dual staff (legends. but mainly focus on agery and try getting 5-tile asap so u can lvl faster and help other ppl levl faster

Hi, i am proacker.

The best spell to raise magery is 5 tile lighting, which u can learn at level 62. You shouldn't add any movement until level 9x.

Before it you should be using icestrom as a leveling spell.

Staff does not increase magical dammage except for rare staff that has MV effect on. The legend staff for mage is MV. So you can grab a g8 mv staff , a pretty nice pick.

You will need:
100 parry
101 whirling
100 sword minimum.

Staff can deal good dammage, while using vampire touch it can help alot with a z (like 5k per hit). We use sword and shield cause, you need the protection that the shield give you. However, vs mage and priest, using staff is a good idea.

i would agree with proacker, Ice Storm, cause the 5 tile ice and 9 tile ice, does do high dmg, but Ice Storm hits alot more, and not much lower than 5/9tile ice

if they actually buffed Ice Storm, it could be used for pking !_!

i'd rather be able to bug the d2 spell like bl

dun need to use sword..can choose from sword / pike / mace

be creative.. dun be boring

the best way to get parrying with mages is , using thief stats , and losing xp , at lvl 4x
