Hello,

I can't seem to find items fit for level 81 tactics (Eagle knife in hurling) and appropriate armor beyond some level at the shops.
Could anyone help me find them? Is crafting the only way to get them?

For anything better than what you can buy in the shops, you'll either need to craft them by hand or get that as drops.

Is it difficult to raise crafting levels? Or are there Grand master crofters I can trade with?

Usually its a completly waste of time crafting most of the itens.
Altought it gives a good bonus, it takes too much time to craft. You probably will run out of knife very quickly so it doesnt worth crafting.

Stuff like Armor, shoes, hat worths the effort, since you keep for a longer time.

To level your Jobs and craft itens, you must complete some quests depending on the job.

How do other players acquire level appropriate items? Do they stick with highest level items from the shop and try to get some drops from the monsters?

These stats will let you use DragonSlayer Knives. These are the only ones you should really worry about. Buy lots of Condor knives from the shop and use the knife drops you get until you get the stats.

I've got tons as well that i could give you.

By the way, don't bother making dragon slayer knifes, they are incredibly harder to make/get then stinger knifes and only give a very small bonus.
