I bet im not the only and first one to accidentally kill some lower lvl at town after alt+tabbing out from the game.
And since you drop items with NK it is quite bad.

I suggest we change that if you press alt you cant change your mode.

I think its not big of a problem in other towns but in yllse the market area that is very popular is not "safe zone" and there are naturally more lower lvl players moving around.

go peace mode then alt tab
