Elemental damage to skills

Make skills of different groups be affected by spell resist. For example, fire resist would lower archer's multi and warrior's roses damage. Ice resist would lower a thief's multi damage.
This is to give more variation in rares and make the resist rares be for more than just anti-wiz.
lightning=resist lightning
earth=resist paralysis (only resist effect left. It's not like anyone actually uses earth skills for pk)
fire=resist blaze
poison=resist venom
ice=resist freeze
wind=resist holy

Adding this won't change builds.
Adding this won't change players thoughts about rares. Currently, if they want want to be defensive, they could wear AC rares.
Must I continue to explain myself?
Thanks,

the point would be to make the resist rares block more damage than AC rares so if you're fighting a thief, you'd wear resist ice instead of AC rares but if you're using resist ice, you're more vulnerable to other attacks.

So if a Priest is using ermmm lets say g15 hardest and hes also wearing a g5-6 resist ice, a thief will make more less damage then hes doing right now? If that's your suggestion and I did understood right, then I'm affraid I have to say "No thank you"

for what i understand all the damage will be turned into ice type so only the g5-6 ressit ice will reduce.
not a bad idea although people will drive themself mad tring to create the perfect defence, wich is something good since it encourage the use of all resist types not only ac and ressist fire/lighting
earth should remain doing phisical damage.

exactly. Sorry I'm tired and bad at explaining.
Right now 210 AC + 37% evasion is (pretty much) the perfect defense and so easy to get with AC symbol, legends, and G5's. I think that there should be no "perfect" defense. When you make people chose, it makes the classes more diverse and allows differences even within classes.

hm so if the skills are more like spells and easvion makes them miss does that mean the food rare that gives 100% hit rate useless for skills since it works with just weapons?

So what will 'AC' rares now do? They will be useless, therefore people will just replace AC for resist rares, making up the same 'perfect defense'.
Explain it better if you want it to be understood.
